Saving Daniel Richards

Chapter twenty

                  Saving Daniel Richards.

When Suki and Zack finally arrived at the hospital Zack was looking rather pale. Suki got out and paid the taxi driver then waited for Zack to get out.

Zack sighed “Do we have to do this?”

Suki replied sternly “Yes Zack we do.”

Zack nodded and started to walk inside. Suki followed closely after.

The hospital was like any other hospital in the city. Busy. It had light blue and white walls. It had a wooden floor. Suki quickly walked over to the reception desk. She was holding Zack’s hand and physically dragging him over to the desk. The receptionist was a young male with black hair and green eyes.

He smiled in recognition of Suki and Zack and asked “Is there anything that I can do for you two heroes?”

Suki notified “We are here to see Daniel Richards.”

The receptionist turned to his computer and typed in the name. He clicked a few buttons and typed something in on the computer then turned back to Suki with a smile.

The receptionist said “He’s on floor three… Someone will be waiting for you at the elevator.”

Suki nodded her head and replied “Thank you bye.”

The receptionist replied “Good bye.”

Zack smiled faintly and nodded. He then followed Suki as she headed for the elevator.

Zack moaned “I’m not to sure about this Suki.”

Suki walked into the elevator with Zack and asked “What aren’t you sure about Zack?”

Zack notified “I haven’t seen my father in years last time I saw him we got into a massive argument and I said that’s I never wanted to see him again.”

Suki reminded “Who was the one who was upset about his father being in hospital. You were Zack so get a grip and let’s see your dad.”

Zack was taken abit by surprise at Suki’s outburst and nodded.

Suki quickly came back to her senses and apologized “I’m sorry I don’t know what came over me then.”

Zack replied “It’s fine I needed it anyway.”

Suki smiled and gave Zack a reassuring hug in which he gratefully returned. The door to the elevator slowly opened and Suki and Zack quickly exited.

A tall female with mid length blonde hair and brown eyes greeted them with a smile and asked “Are you here to see Daniel Richards?”

Zack replied “Yes we are.”

The woman requested “Alright follow me please.”

Suki and Zack both replied together “Alright.”

They both followed the woman along a long corridor filled with doors on both sides. About half way down she stopped and notified “This is Daniel Richards’s room.”

Suki replied “Thank you.”

The woman nodded and walked away.

Suki asked “You ready Zack?”

Zack looked at Suki then smiled and nodded.

Zack opened the door and walked into the room soon followed by Suki.

Inside the room there were three chairs. By the wall underneath the window was Daniels bed with all the medical equipment surrounding it. The room was a bright blue and had a wooden floor. Daniel Richards lay in his bed looking at Zack. You could definitely tell the resemblance. Daniel had the same hair colour as Zack except Daniel had a couple of grey patches. They both had the same eyes and nose. Zack was almost exactly identical to his father. When Daniel saw Zack his eyes went wide and watery.
