"Luke stop tickling me," I giggle, swatting his hands away from me.
His smile just grows more.
"Stop," I whine, trying to get away from him. His hands grip my waist, not letting me go.
"Fine," he smirks, sighing. He moves over so he can sit on the bed. I admire his face from the ground. His eyes watch me, a smirk plays on his lips. His beautiful lips. "Staring is rude, Mason Elise."
My cheeks flush, and I advert my eyes to the guitar laying on the ground.
"Get over yourself," I attempt to say with confidence. His chuckle confirms that he sees right through me.
"Don't worry, Mase. I stare at you too."
"Very outgoing tonight, aren't we?" my voice thick with amusement.
"Figured you already knew." he shrugs, "I mean you're really people smart and you know stuff and you're like a little spy and-"
"What the hell are you talking about, Lucas?"
"Don't "Lucas" me."
"Oh, boy, I'll "Lucas" you if I want."
"No. My name is not Lucas."
"Whatever, Lucas."
"Shut up."
"Okay," I grin, "Can we go back to what we were talking about?"
"Sure," Luke says, grabbing the large bag of popcorn. He reaches out to me hold the bag.
"I'm good," I shake my head.
"I know 'you're good'", Luke says, adding hand motions, "Well actually I don't." he sends me a wink.
"Luke, I meant 'no, I don't want any'." I roll my eyes. His laugh echoes through the room.
His eyes soften as he returns to our original topic.
"So we like each other." he says in the most awkward voice possible. Actually, I think I could say it more awkwardly than him, but that's not the point.
"Yep," I say, making the face someone would make when they are in an awkward position. I make this face daily.
Luke cracks a grin then starts to laugh really hard.
"What the frick is so funny?" I raise my eyebrow.
"This whole scenario." he laughs, leaning his head on the headboard of the bed. "I like a girl who likes me, but I have a girlfriend, who I am technically not allowed to break up with yet."
"Stupid stunts," I say under my breathe. "At least this isn't as awkward as Louis situation right now."
Luke snorts. Okay, hold the phone. He just snorted? Never heard him snort before.
"Yeah," Luke chuckles, then bites down on his lip, chewing on the piercing.
"I mean Louis is dating Danielle and that's probably hella awkward for Danielle-"
"Did you just say 'hella'?"
"because I mean Louis is a father and he can't undo that. So Danielle is dating someone who is now a father and it's cute and all-"
"Really? 'Hella'?"
"It seems like an awkward situation. I don't know. Think about it." My mind keeps on my rant, but my mouth stops moving.
"Hella awkward, am I right?" Luke jokes, then winks.
"Get over the fact that I can pull off saying hella."
"You can barely pull it off." Luke rolls his eyes. "Are we really talking about this right now."
"You betcha." I get up off the ground and playfully punch his arm.
"So." he says, turning his face towards me. He crosses his arms on his chest.
"So." I sigh, shifting awkwardly.
"Are we friends?"
"Of course. Let's just keep anything romantic secret."
"Ha, romantic."
"I meant, let's just hang out and stuff. We aren't sophisticated people." I shrug.
He smirks, then pinches my cheek. "Good word choice."
"Thanks," I roll my eyes.
"Yeah, so secretly date."
"I don't believe you ever asked me on a date, so no." a smirk places on my lips. His facial expression changes immediately.
"Well, would you like to go on a date with me?" Luke asks.
"Possibly." I shrug. "I'll have to check my calendar."
"I'm taking that as a yes." He says triumphantly.
"Luke," I attempt to not smile.
"Mason, I am taking you on a date. No distractio-"
His phone begins to buzz. I snort at the irony then gape at the phone. The name that pops up is the one name I dreaded hearing, especially in this moment.
"Hey, Arz." Luke says in an annoyed tone. "Oh, alright. Yeah, can't wait."
He slowly brings his eyes to mine.
"What was that about?" I ask.
The next phrase he said assured me that Luke and I would never actually date.
"Arzaylea is coming on tour with us."
