Chapter Ten

Your P.O.V.

You stopped. You could feel your mouth drop open.

No, you thought. No no no no no. Why? Why does she have to torture me?

You barely noticed when Grian shook your arm, trying to get your attention. You came back to earth and allowed him to take your hand, pulling you over to the table where Sam and J were sitting.

You reluctantly sat down, still not completely snapped out of your trance. It was unreal. How could she get here? Why was her eyes in Yuki's?

Finally, you sat down. Instead of eating, you stared at the table, thinking the whole thing over. It's not like you could eat anyways, you hadn't brought anything.

The sound of Grian's voice made you look away from the white corner of the table.

"(Y/N)?" he said. "(Y/N), are you alright?"

"Yeah Grian," you answered. "I'm fine."

Grian have you a puzzled expression. "You don't look fine."

"I'm fine, okay? I just...need to be alone for a minute."

You stood up and walked away, heading towards the bathroom. This was going to become a nightmare if she was following you. You needed time, which was the one thing no one ever had.

Stepping into the bathroom, you walked over to the sink. You turned it on and splashed some fresh, cold, water on your face.

"How?" you said aloud. "Why?"

"I thought you knew why," her voice said. You turned around. Yuki was standing there, a smug smile on her face. Her eyes were still dark red and violet.

"You," you said. "Why did you come here?"

"Reasons," she said. "Many reasons. One, I came to see how my soon-to-be soul puppet. Two, I came to make sure everything is set into place. Three, I came to yell at my servant for not doing his job. Four, I came to frame someone. Five, I came to kill someone."

You were confused on why she told you her plans. "Okay, what?"

She sighed. "I sent my servant here to do something for me. He's failing, so I possessed Yuki to yell at him. I also possessed Yuki to take Taurtis for later and to frame Holly for his disappearance. I'm also here to make sure the rest of my plan is set up properly, so I can kickstart it, and then let it fall into place right before my eyes."

"Why are you telling me?"

"Because I know you won't tell anyone, unless you want eternal suffering in the worst way imaginable, and because I know you don't comprehend things on your own, so you need someone to explain it for you. Now I have."

"I think you're just confusing me even more."

"Oh. Well. You got your explanation. Remember, if you tell anyone, I'll take your soul now and I will put you into eternal torture for eternity. Understand?"

You nodded slowly. She laughed.

"Good. Now, I must go. There are some things to be attended to."

She left the bathroom.

You didn't even realize you were clutching the sides of the sink until you took your hands off. She scared you. Heck, she scared you so much you were ready to go crawl in a hole and stay there until the end of time, if it meant you would never see her again.

You exited the bathroom to hear the bell ring. You walked to the gym, where everyone else was already lined up. When you stood at the back of the line, you noticed that Rowan wasn't standing at the front. Yuki was no where in sight.

You looked over at the boy's line. Sam and Grian were sneaking out of the line and onto the stage. Grian saw you and motioned you to come over. You nodded and headed around the opposite way, meeting the boys at Rowan's office door.

"Come on," you said. "Let's go inside."

They nodded, and you turned the handle slowly. As soon as it stopped turning, you pushed open the door. When you saw what was inside, you gasped.

Okami was lying on the ground, unconscious. Rowan was lying to the side, blood pouring out of his mouth and his stomach. A note was laying in the ground between them. Holly was no where to be found.

You stood there for a few moments in complete shock. This day just kept getting worse and worse.

"Um, (Y/N)?" Grian said. "You're blocking the doorway."

You stepped into the office and out of the way. Turning around, you looked at the shocked expressions of Sam and Grian as they saw the scene in format of them.

Sam's mouth was hanging open, as wide as it could've been. Grian's mouth was barely hanging open, but his eyes were as wide as tennis balls.

You leaned over and picked up the note on the ground. You read it aloud.

"'See this? This is what will happen to Taurtis if you don't bring me Grian tonight,'" it said. "'Remember, come alone unarmed. Leave the rabbit boy. Only bring Grian, (Y/N), or else. You know the consequences.'"

"Heh, that's the second note you've read today," Sam said. You gave him a look that would've sent Rowan running for his mom.

"Don't. Even. Right now," you said.

"Well, let's wake up Okami first," Grian said. "We need an adult here."

You nodded, and the three of you kneeled down next to your unconscious teacher.
