Chapter Twelve

~A/N: two chapters in two days? You guys push me too hard ;D~

Sam's P.O.V. (A/N: PLOT TWIST XD)

I looked down at my phone. It was the hundredth time I'd tried calling Taurtis. I was really worried. What had Holly done with him?

I threw my phone at the wall in anger. This was my fault. I let him go onto the roof alone. Now Holly had him. I clenched my fists. She was going to pay. (A/N: so tempted to turn this into Saurtis)

Stomping over to the closet, I opened the door. I reached beneath our clothes until I found it. My knife. Pulling it out, I gazed at its gleaming blade. I smiled maliciously and laughed. She was indeed going to pay.

Then I dropped the knife and stood up. Realization hit me like a slap to the face. That day Taurtis disappeared...Yuki told him to meet her on the roof. I heard her whisper it to him. Yuki had been there when Grian and (Y/N) found the note. Wait...the note...

"Crap!" I yelled. Picking up the knife again, I stuffed it into my pocket. Then I ran out of the apartment, the note's words ringing in my head.

'You have until midnight tonight.' That was five weeks ago! While running to who-knows-where, I went over everything in my head.

Why would someone put their initials on a ransom note? That doesn't make any sense. And Yuki had been Holy's friend. She acted happy when Holly disappeared. Yuki had asked Taurtis to meet her on the roof, not Holly. The pieces fit perfectly together.

"It was Yuki!" I whisper-yelled to myself. (A/N: finally someone realizes it! Gosh dang it) Shut up, Author. (A/N: :C)

I was not looking where I was going. Because of this, I crashed into someone who was also running. I felt the knife slip out of my pocket. I only saw a flash of black hair as I crashed down onto the sidewalk.

Your P.O.V.

You were walking home, your sketchbook tucked under your arm and your other hand carrying the bucket. You sighed to yourself, thinking of Grian. You were just avoiding him because of her. She was so annoying, keeping you away from your love. Truth is, you really wanted to spend time with him, to have yourself in his embrace, but you were afraid he was going to ask about the things that were happening. Then, when he found out you'd been lying, you were afraid of what his reaction was going to be.

You passed buildings and buildings, not really caring where you were going. Finally, you looked up at the grey world around you. You felt a small drop of water hit your nose. It had started raining.

"At least it's not my tears," you said to yourself. You picked up your pace as you quickly walked in the direction you thought was home. You put the bucket on top of your head to shield yourself from the rain, which had started steadily pouring down.

You saw a figure in the distance, also running in the rain. You looked at them as you ran closer, for they seemed familiar. Then you realized who it was, and you sighed in relief.

"Grian!" you shouted. He stopped and turned around. You ran up to him and threw yourself at him, hugging your arms around him.

"(Y-Y/N)?" he said. "I-"

You shushed him by bringing your lips to his. After a few minutes, you broke apart.

"It's so good to see you," you said, hugging him close. He hugged back, glad you were here. Grian lightly stroked your (H/C) hair

"Come on," he said, "let's get out of this rain."

You nodded and took hold of his hand, interwinding your fingers. You smiled at him, and he smiled back at you. Then you two started to go towards the nearest building, which happened to be a small restaurant. You stepped inside, and heard a familiar voice.

"Hey guys! Look who I found!" Sam called. You and Grian turned towards him. He was sitting on a bare stool, waving his hand over at you. Tear tracks were stained in his face and he had the widest grin on his face. Another familiar person sat beside him. He turned around to greet you. Grian and your mouthes dropped open, for you couldn't believe your eyes. You could only sputter out one word.

"T-Taurtis?"
