Grian's P.O.V.

When (Y/N) left, I went back to my research. I could still taste her lips on mine, and that filled me with determination. (A/N: pun definitely intended) I pulled out my laptop and started my research.
The first thing I looked up was 'witches.' I needed to know everything I could about Maria and Ellen.
I found pages and pages of different myths and legends. Although there were about a hundred variations of each story, I found nothing on Ellen and Maria's type of powers.
  Until I reached the end.
After trying about eight hundred different search words, I finally found the story I'd been looking for. It was titled, "Rakärs — A Story of Twin Witches".
'Once, many millennia ago, a pair of twin girls were born. But they weren't just any girls, they were witches. A special type of witch, too. They were Rakärs; beautiful women that stopped growing old at the age of sixteen. Rakärs were always born in pairs, and they were always girls. They can only die by murder or suicide, nothing else. They are immune to all diseases their entire lives, but they can be injured. Although, if the Rakär does not die in the hour which they are hurt, the injury will fade away, leaving the skin perfectly normal.
'Rakärs almost never actually die. When their soul no longer possesses their body, they enter the spirit realm. There, they can posses other people, interact with dead beings, and watch the mortal realm from afar. The can be seen by other people only at certain times. Either at a death or a birth; it depends on which Rakär.
'There is another special aspect about the Rakärs. They never die at the same time. There is always at least a hundred years split between their deaths. During that time, another special being is born. This person will be the one who can erase the Rakärs from existence forever, and has special powers. The powers differ between flight, telekinesis, teleportation, and immense strength; all topped with glowing eyes, instant knowledge of everything around them, and increased speed and reflexes when the powers are activated. This person, who is called a Drew, is a being with a very powerful soul. To get rid of the Rakäs for good, the Drew would have to have them both killed and then destroy them when they are in the spirit realm. A Drew can lure a Rakär into the mortal realm by its powerful soul, like bait. The Ralär won't have control and step into the mortal realm without thinking, thus making the Drew's job much easier. There, the Drew can use their powers to destroy the Rakärs and rid them from existence.'
I blinked and reread the article a couple times. That's why Maria is so keen on getting (Y/N)'s soul! She knew (Y/N) could destroy her at any time if she felt like it.
I checked the time. 1:30 AM. Crap. Then I started to wonder where (Y/N) was. She had said she was going to kill Yuki...
I jumped up, almost knocking my laptop over. What if Yuki had killed (Y/N)? What if Maria had killed (Y/N)? What if...
I told myself to stop and start acting like an adult. I grabbed my coat and opened the door...only to have someone fall on top of me.
"(Y-Y/N)?" I said, helping her stand up.
"Yeah, it's me. You okay, Grian? You look paler than usual. How long have you been cooped up in here?"
I didn't reply, but instead pushed her against the nearest wall and started kissing her feverishly. She smiled and laughed, happy and amused by my behavior. I gave her light kisses on her cheeks, neck, and when I did kiss her lips, she kissed back instantly.
I stopped after a few minutes.
"You okay?" (Y/N) whispered, placing her hand on my chest.
"Yeah," I replied in the same time, lightly brushing her cheek. "I just thought you wouldn't come back."
"Pfft, I could beat Yuki blindfolded with my hands tied behind my back."
"So, did you succeed your mission?"
"Yep. Yuki is now lying dead in an alley somewhere. Holly helped me find the perfect place for her to rot. Yuki had knocked out Holly and locked her in the girls' locker room, but I eventually found her and got her out."
"Wait, what? You left Yuki to rot somewhere?"
"Hey, she got what she deserved."
  "I guess you're right."
She smirked. "Of course I am."
I laughed. "Okay, now I've got something to show you."
I lead her to the couch where my laptop was sitting and made her read the article. Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open at certain moments.
"So I'm a Drew?" she asked after she finished. "I can kill off Maria and all other Rakärs for good?"
  "Yep," I replied.
Suddenly, we were interrupted by (Y/N)'s phone buzzing. She pulled it out, reading her notification.
  Her face fell.

Your P.O.V.

  "Oh Gord..." you mumbled.
Taurtis had sent you a text. You could feel your eyes grow wide as you read it.
'Went to go visit Sam. He wasn't there. Window was open. Meet me at the police station.'
You heard Grian's voice. "What happened, (Y/N)?"
You looked up at him. "Taurtis went to see Sam. He wasn't there, and the window was open. We need to go meet him at the police station."
Grian's eyes widened. "What're we waiting for, then?" he said loudly, standing up. "Let's go!"
You nodded, standing up with him. Not bothering to get anything, you hurried out the door, into the chilly air of the Japan night.

~A/N: you guys better be happy. I spent so long in this. My writer's block was so insane, it was kinda stressful. But now that I have the DAMN EXPLANATION OUTTA THE WAY, we can get to the drama without needing another explanation. And that's what everyone wants, isn't it?~
