Maria's P.O.V.

No! No, no, no, no! This is not going according to plan. That brat can't love the rabbit! That ruins everything!

I turned to Flow. "You," I said, stomping towards her. "You were supposed to kill him!"

"I did!" she yelled. "I killed him! You saw! He was dead! Then, somehow, he came back to life!"

I froze. How did I not notice this before?

"Ellen..."

"What did she do, mistress?"

"She cast a spell. So the next person you killed wouldn't die. But, in doing so, she made Sam vulnerable."

"What do you mean?"

I walked quickly over the bookshelf and pulled out a maroon-colored book with black fire on the cover. I flipped through the pages until I found the one o was looking for.

"Here," I said. "The 'Mortem ut Vitae*' spell. Ahem, 'The person who this spell has been cast upon will escape death once. They will be brought back to the world of the living within three days, and can never again fall by the same fate. However, they will have nightmares about how they died or who killed them every other night until the counter spell is cast upon them and they are vulnerable to that death again'." (A/N: ye olde Blackith Magic XD I'm sorry)

"So he'll have nightmares about me?"

"Yes. Which I can get into. Then I can make him do what I want. Everyone in this town is my puppet. (Y/N) will not love Sam. My plan will work, and this world will be mine."

Flow was standing by the crystal ball. "Mistress, come here. Watch Grian's reaction."

I laughed. "This will be fun."

Grian's P.O.V.

"Wha-?" I said.

"I'm sorry, Grian," Holly said. "I don't know what happened. I just saw them kiss in the hospital."

"When?"

"That first day. When you first found out Sam was alive."

"How did I not see? I was standing right by the door..."

"I saw it on the cameras. The doctors wanted to speak to Taurtis privately, and I stayed in the office area. There was a camera and, well..."

I started to get angry. "Why didn't you tell me sooner? We wouldn't have to deal with this now! I can't trust anyone in this town!"

"Grian, I-" Holly tried to calm me down, but I stopped her.

"Don't. Even."

Then I stormed out of the house.

I was wandering the streets in a rage. At the moment, I didn't care where I was going. I only cared about getting away from everyone. I just needed some time alone. My mind felt like it was being torn apart (A/N: like a fangirl's heart after the feels ;P). There were too many things going on; Rowan, Ellen, and Thomas were all dead; Flow was out there somewhere, still a threat; Sam was alive; (Y/N) lied to me; and 'the Mistress' was probably watching our every move, waiting to attack.

Wait, Ellen said before she died, that the quote on quote 'Mistress' was her sister...

If the Mistress was Ellen's sister, than that might explain why she sent Flow to kill Ellen. Ellen would have answers to all our questions, she could explain the (Y/N)'s curse, we might stand a chance against the demons...if she was alive.

I tried to think back to when Ellen was telling us about the Mistress. She had said a few things after (Y/N) spoke and before Flow appeared.

Then it hit me. "You mean Maria? My sister?" That was it. I snapped my fingers on reflex. Maria. That was her name.

"Now, what do I do next?" I asked myself.

The air grew colder. A chill ran through my spine. A ghost-like voice, sounding like Ellen, whispered in my ear.

"Her house. The books. One forty Mossland Street."

I turned around sharply, but no one was there. A ghost. Ellen, as a ghost, was helping me. She obviously hated her sister. She wanted revenge.

I ran in the direction of Mosslamd Street. As soon as I got to the house, I was going to find out everything about the Mistress.

"You're not going to get away with this, Maria," I whispered, knowing that she would hear me.
