You guys 😅 I almost have 3k I'm so proud of us. Thank you so much guys so I updated.
It's been weeks since Parker's birth mother dropped by. I am beside myself waiting to hear from the courts just as I let my guard down it happened. Jaike and I got a letter in the mail...it wasn't so much a letter but a demand that we attend family court.
When I gave Jaike the letter he got straight on the phone hiring the lawyers while I dealt with our son. I placed Parker in my lap gently stroking his hair. I placed a kiss on my stomach "mummy when is my sister getting here?"
I pinched his cheeks at how cute the question was "she should be here in twenty-seven days baby." I said looking over to Jaike who was now running his fingers roughly through his hair.
Parker asked, "you get rid of me, when sister comes that lady said she take me home."
I shook my head "no baby you are my son and I don't or won't let you go anywhere. When your sister comes along it doesn't change anything here Parker. You are still our son and we love you."
My two-year-old son was worried about being taken away from the people that raised him. The people that he has called mum and dad and the people who witness his first steps.
Flashback
"Baby quickly, hurry up in the bathroom and get here, he's walking!" Jaike yelled at me from downstairs.
I yelled but "just hold him off I'm coming."
I could hear the fear in Jaike's voice, fear of our little boy getting older, fear of what's ahead for us and fear of me missing Parker's first steps. "Jaike yelled, "how am I meant to stop him?"
I yelled almost there, as I was saying that I missed a step and came tumbling down the stairs. I huffed out as I got up "I'm here!"
Jaike smirked at me knowing I fell down the last step. I crouched down in front of Parker holding my arms out. Slowly but steadily Parker made his first steps to me. As he went to fall I was about to grab him but Jaike stopped me "baby he needs to learn from his mistakes."
I nodded my head withdrawing my hands waiting for him to reach me. As he stood in front of me a few steps away he stopped holding his arms out to me. He threw his self into my arms giving me a slobbery kiss on the cheek "luv ooo mumma!"
I kissed his cheek "love you too baby."
My baby has developed a lot since then, he's running circles around Jaike and I, his speech is well developed for a child his age and he's tall...very tall for a two-year-old.
Jaike sat down next to us "everything is going to be alright Cam."
I kissed his cheek "he thought that lady was there to take him because we're having a new baby Jaike. He thought we were going to replace him."
Jaike kissed my forehead "and that would never happen because he is our son, not hers or anyone else, he is ours."
I cuddled Parker into Jaike's chest "mummy and daddy love you Parks."
He kissed Jaike's cheek "love ooo too." He replied back snuggling into Jaike's chest.
As Parker was dozing off Jaike muttered "I got the hearing moved up so it's in two days time."
I kissed Jaike's cheek "I don't want him to think we are abandoning him because of this new baby."
Jaike brushed away my tears with the pad of his thumb "we won't lose him, Cameron, I promise."
