Finding Little Parker

Chapter 9

                          JAIKE'S POV
I heard her cry from where I sat in the lounge room. I knew I had screwed up majorly and there was a long road to recovery. GOSH, what have I done to the girl I am meant to love.

I knew she would never cheat on me because I am as much of a lifeline to her as she is to me. I could hear Parker stir awake but she made no move to comfort him.

After a few minutes, I walked into Parkers room. I lifted him into my arms holding him close. I laid a kiss on his forehead "daddy loves you, Parker, I am so sorry for hurting your mummy just know I love you and your brother."

I smiled at what I said to Parker because I know how much Cam wants a girl. Once Parker was back asleep I walked out of his room and down into the lounge room.

Cameron was sitting down on the couch with the baby monitor in front of her. She rubbed at her eyes that were red from crying "I love you too."

I sat down next to her "I know you would never cheat, I am sorry for getting so worked up my brother just gets under my skin."

She nodded her head "I know but you don't get I would never cheat with him Jaike. He left me with no reason and I blamed you and I hate that I now look back on it and I blame myself. I...we could have had a chance of a relationship so much sooner."

I pulled her into my arms "I am sorry I don't know how to make this up to you but I think after this child we need a girl, a son and then a girl."

She laughed at me "two girls in a row you are game baby."

I kissed her cheek lingering there longer than necessary.

A week later in Cameron's POV
Jaike and I are so much better now and the best news came a few days ago Mark has gone. Leah took their daughter and left him. The whole family has stood behind her.

Jake couldn't be happier when he found out. I know their mum is missing Mark but she is glad he isn't messing with Jaike and I any more.

As I was finishing off folding the laundry once again there was a knock on the door. I picked Parker up into my arms taking him to the door with me.

When I opened up there was a girl in her late twenties standing there. I smiled at her "hello can I help you?"

She looked at Parker smiling nodding her head "yeah you can, that boy Jaime is my son."

I looked at her confused "I'm sorry his name is Parker now."

Her smile fades from her face "I am here to take my son home with me."

I shook my head "no you can't do that he is my son, you left him...you left him in the park alone. Parker is my son you have no rights."

She gave me a huge fake smile "I'll see you in court then Miss."

It felt like years before Jaike got home and even before he looked at me he knew something was wrong. I had Parker asleep in my arms in a strong grip.

I told him before he could ask "she's taking us to court...his birth mother is taking us to court over custody."

After I said that Jaike sat down next to me "that won't happen we have had him since the beginning baby we will hire the best. Parker is our son no matter what any test has to say."

I kissed his hand "thanks Jaike I love you."

He kissed Parker's forehead "I love all three of you."
