*Drew's pov*
"Drew we need you on the field now!" Coach yelled inside the dugout. I quickly place the unfinished letter in my bag and grab my glove that was beside me. I don't have much time between school and baseball to write letters. I barley have anytime at home as well.
"Aye quit day dreaming and run to the mound!" Coach yells at me again. I jug over to the pitchers mound.
My catcher got ready for my pitch. I could feel my coaches eyes on me as the ball left my hand and went into the catchers glove.
"What was that? You need to throw harder! Again!"
The ball was returned to me and I begin my windup again. My pitches weren't fast enough! Coach kept yelling at me to through harder. I kept trying and I could feel the burn in my shoulder.
Finally I went to throw one last pitch. I went through my windup and threw as hard as I could. As soon as the ball left my grip, a sharp pain travels from my shoulder down to my elbow.
"Ahh." I groan in pain. I grab onto my arm and pull it closer to my chest. The pain was unbearable.
"Drew what happened?" Coach asked as he ran to my side.
"It hurts coach." I say. He looks at me and sighs.
"Someone go get the tape!" He yells. A couple players head to the dugout.
"Can you move it?" He asks. I nod and move it a little causing more pain. I squeeze my eyes shut.
"You won't be able to play tomorrow. You over worked your arm. After practice you need to go see a doctor." Coach wraps my arm. I hated the thought of not being able to play. My team needs me.
~
So yea, that's why I can't play for about a week. This is really going to suck. I hate being off. When I'm not playing baseball, I don't know what to do. Since your not here and all my friends are on the baseball team, I have nothing to do. My arm better heal fast. Here I go again with being impatient.Hey at least I have time to respond to your letters now. That should take up some of my time. Did you know each letter I write takes me about an hour to finish? I want them to be good so I work really hard on them. Anyway, I'm gonna get some rest!
Love you,
Drew
