Dear Drew,
Alright, I'm up for your challenge. I think I can do this. I guess since you asked about my radio broadcasting class I can talk about that.
So at my school, they offer clubs. I was going to sign up for music club until I saw radio club. It didn't take long before I wrote my name on the sign up sheet and I was in the club. They have this weird like ceremony thing for new people who join. I had to name at least 10 famous radios how hosts. It actually wasn't that hard since you know I have background with that stuff. I passed easily. Once I was fully in the club, I went through this training.
I had to practice talking like a host. It was hard to try and sound natural but like a host when about 6 other people are staring at you. So yea there this like voice training and then there is this radio training. I had to go through and practice making playlists and playing commercials and songs at the right time. I had to practice my intro. There is just a lot of things that went on.
Finally after all the practicing. I had been assigned a time and a topic. I broadcast the top Songs of the week on Tuesdays. Students send in requests for the songs so it's not really hard to find any. Actually one time a song that was voted in was from a band here at our school. Those guys are amazing and the whole school loves them.
It would be cool for you to listen to my show but it isn't possible. The radio station is only available for this school. I wish it was actually out there and not just at a school.
So yea, that's basically how it works. It's not that cool but it makes me super happy. I glad I am carrying on my dads hobby. I hope he is proud...Wait does that count as going off topic? No it relates to what I was talking about so it doesn't count. Wow this is actually really hard for me to talk about one thing through this whole letter. I have too many things to say, too many questions to ask. I think that is just how it's going to have to be. Random letters are the best anyways.
Well this is the end of the letter..Bye.
Your Friend,
Anna.
