Miranda's pov

Jason has a show here in Nashville later tonight. "I can't believe I got that screwed up at the bar the other night." He says. I cover my mouth to keep from laughing. CJ eats some cereal in his booster chair. Jason poured a glass of orange juice. "We're all going to your show today right dad?" My eyes go wide. So does his. Jason turns around. "Course buddy, wouldn't leave ya home alone." He says, not even acting like he noticed that he called him dad. CJ looks at me, confused. I shrug and finish off my toast.

*later*

Jason was onstage singing. Me and CJ were backstage, him in my arms. His head against my chest. "Mr. Jason didn't get mad that I accidentally called him dad." He says. "Yeah." I say, watching Jason perform. "Why not?" He asks, looking up at me with wide innocent blue eyes. I smile at the great cowboy rocking the stage, tears in my eyes. "Because Mr. Jason loves you and doesn't mind it." "I love him too." He replies. I smile and wipe the tears from my eyes with my shirt sleeve. "Me too, bud."

Jason's pov

CJ runs onto the stage while I'm in the middle of Just Gettin' Started. I smile and pick him up. "Hey kiddo, what are you up to. He hugs me tight. "I love you." I'm totally caught by surprise. I stare at the stage, shocked and hold him tight, closing my eyes. "I love you too CJ." I'm surprised, he's got tears in his eyes. "You alright?" "Yeah. Can we sing big green tractor together?" I smile. I've already sung that one but I don't think the fans will mind. "Hey guys I know I've already done this one. But...."

Miranda's pov

"Who wants to hear it as a duet with me and my son, CJ?" My eyes go wide. He called Jason his son. The fans are cheering excitedly. They start singing big green tractor together. "You alright?" Mike asks. "Oh hey. Yeah. It's just.... So great how Jason's taking CJ like his own. It just..... I've never known anyone so great." He smiles and pats my shoulder. "He's a great man." I smile and wipe the happy tears from my eyes. "That he is." "Goodnight Nashville!" He shouts then hands the mic to CJ. "Goodnight! Love you guys!" He gasps. Jason puts the mic in his back pocket and they walk backstage. "That was amazing!" I gasp, hugging both my boys. "Luke texted me to tell you he's got a bonfire going on at his place." Mike says. "Busy night tonight huh?" He replies, raking a hand through his hair. "I'm gonna get changed and meet y'all at Luke's." He says, all sweaty. He kisses me and pats CJ's head. We get to Luke's and I hang with Caroline, Sierra, and Rachel. CJ plays with the rest of the kids.

Jason's pov

"You moved that girl to tears tonight." Mike says, confusing me. "I did? How?" "That thing ya did with CJ. Especially calling him your son." "Oh yeah that." I say, smiling and returning my hat to my head. "I'll see ya later, man." I say, waving. I get to Luke's and CJ is playing tag with Luke's boys. He hides behind me when I walk over and keeps dodging Bo and Tate. I laugh. "Careful little man, I'm gonna trip over you." He laughs so I grab him and put him on my shoulders. Miranda is sitting in a lawn chair talking to Caroline. She waves and I wave back. CJ bumps my hat lower over my eyes. "Watch it, crazy." "Me no crazy, me-" "I know you're CJ." He laughs. "You're still crazy too." I say. "I know." He says. I laugh and set him down. He runs off to play. "Hey baby." I say, leaning down and kissing her. Brad is manning the grill and I sit in a lawn chair beside my girl. "You're a really good daddy for CJ." She says scooting her chair closer and laying her head on my shoulder. "I love having a little boy." I reply, opening an ice cold beer. Toby Keith's Whiskey girl comes. "Yeah she's my little whiskey girl, oh she's my little whiskey girl!" I pull her close and instead she lays her head against my chest, my arm around her. "Hey baby, what do ya think about goin' on tour with me? As my opener, ya know get recognized again." "Oh Jay really?" She cries, sitting up. I laugh and nod. "Mike's just about set everything up. All I needed was an opener." I say, smiling. She leans down and kisses me. I drop my beer wrapping my arms around her waist. "Now I'm a lady lookin' for a man in my life, who'll make a good husband, I'll make a good wife." I hear Toby's I'm just talkin' bout tonight on the radio. Or is it a CD? Who cares? She sits in my lap as we make out. "Get a room!" Someone shouts. Oh jeez. My face gets red. She sits back in her chair, also embarrassed. "Stealin' kisses." I whisper, kissing her again. She smiles. "Maybe Eric's right though. We should wait til we're in private." She whispers. "Oh yeah. You're right." I say, kissing her one more time before I stop.
