"Did you see Lilac's reduce in baby fat?"
"She looks good."
"Too good. Wonder what she did?" We gossiped casually, sipping latte's and eating what the menu had - cold tuna pasta. We hushed as Lilac Winters - red hair dip-dyed blonde, freckles aglow, wearing a tight t-shirt and leather skirt sauntered past, looking pretty good. Iris suddenly perked up, crystal blue eyes flashing.
"It's Carmen." We turned as Carmen Chrisford walked into the cafeteria and it suddenly hushed. She didn't stop. I eyed her. Carmen's got mousy and almost colourless brown hair, a complexion not bad nor good, and she was a goody-goody. Girls like her didn't get pregnant.
"Heya, baby momma." Heidi smirked, and Carmen jerked, but didn't turn. There were some sniggers. I didn't like it. Carmen probably had shit going down in her life. I didn't want to add. Plus, she kind of reminds me of me, back when....
"Heid, ignore her." I said, "The baby's not your problem. It's the daddy's."
"Hm. Fine." Heidi shrugged.
We finished eating fast, and dominated the hallways instead: Iris tossed her blonde locks back with blue eyes gleaming, adding a little more swing to her hips. Kristy walked with flare, dark ponytail swinging in rhythm from side to side, green eyes staring ahead. Prue had her ombré hair loose and long, and she stepped with grace - the dangerous type. Heidi and I just walked at the front, and we headed into the girl's bathroom.
"...and so he told me he liked Georgia - the bitch from Villa Fraser, the all girls academy? Turn out she sleeps with guys..."
"I so caught Colleen and Spencer making out in a gym closet!"
"Yeah, these were on sale."
The bell rang, interrupting our news session, and I giggled. "Better run, don't want Ms. Grace shaking her elbow fat at us." I told Heidi, and the whole group ended up giggling. Iris waved, exiting the bathroom first. Heidi and I looped arms, and we walked towards English.
As I was about to push open the door, a strong arm reached out and pushed it open for me. "In you go," Heidi crossed her arms. "Hey, Heid, you look happy." He grinned, and I giggled.
"Whatever," she muttered, walking in.
"Don't I get a kiss for helping?" Alex asked, stopping me from walking in. I grinned, pulling him close to me and pressing my lips to his. He put his hands on my waist, and we kissed. It took me a while to remember, we were standing in the doorway. I pulled away.
"We're not finished," he whispered. I winked, taking my seat in English, which happened to be right behind Alex.
"Now everyone today you're going to be writing a five page essay on "The Importance Of Literature". Mr.Fitz my English teacher exclaimed, his eyes searching the classroom.
I had to admit, Mr.Fitz was definitely the teacher to make you love a subject although you'd hate it with a passion ; well you would definitely like it when you have a hot English teacher like him. Mr.Fitz was tall, mascular and very masculine. He had short, dark curly hair and a very sculpted jawline. He had beautiful eyes and a long prominent nose.
I heard Heidi snickering something from behind me, which immediately shook off my thoughts on Mr.Fitz. I sounded like a perv, right? But I bet no girl here could deny his sexiness, that's if they were gay or something.
"Omg, Ash look at that girl in the corner!" She whispered, with complete disgust on her face as she pointed her middle finger towards the person.
In the corner of the classroom, way to the back in the fourth row was this girl sitting there with long, indian hair that was styled in loose curls and a huge pink rimmed glasses. Her eyes were brown and she had a freckled nose. Something that caught my attention immediately was the huge scar on her face.
It seemed more of a scratch or cut, that was healed.
"Who is she?" I kept my eyes focusing on her, my mind thinking deep and quick.
"Ugh, she looks so ugly, I bet they took her out of the gabbage bin or something. I mean look at her size!" Heidi commented with no total sensitivity. Sometimes, Heidi could really be a bitch.
Then I remember how hard it was for me back when.............
"She's pretty". I shurgged and turnt my attention away from her and Heidi.
"Hey babe", Alex turnt his attention towards me with the biggest smirk on his face. His lips looked so tempting in that moment. Like I just wanted to get over there and kiss the shit out of him.
"Hey", I winked at him. "What's up?" I smiled curiously.
"So the boys and I are thinking of throwing this party tonight, you know, It's going to be over at Thomas' house. So I definitely want my super hot girlfriend there with me". He bit his lips and smirked at me.
"Hmm, a school night? That's why I love you. Hell yea!" I squealed and saw a very excited Heidi. Heidi, the party lover. She always got a thing for parties.
"Am I invited too?" She did her puppy dog eyes and pouted her lips childllishly.
"Duh!" I replied. As if the answer wasn't so obvious.
"Then we, Ash, need to go on an emergency shopping spree." Heidi said, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
"Pfsh. Why can't you just wear what you've got?" Alex asked.
"You, sir, are not a woman. You do not understand." I paused, "Wait, maybe you are a woman."
"Last time I checked I was a boy, sweets." He said, pecking my cheek.
"Good." I smiled. Then what Mr. Fitz was saying sunk in. "Shit, a five paged essay?" Heidi looked up.
"Five pages, Mr. Fitz?" Heidi said, batting her eyes unintentionally.
"Yes, Heidi, five paged." He nodded. "Or would you rather I matched you up with partners? Randomly?"
"No." The whole class stated blankly. As cute as he was, Mr. Fitz's matching skills were the absolutely worst. Alex got paired up with Amelie Grenson once, and she's a total bitch. Even worse, a pretty bitch.
"Stupid essay aside, what about this party?" Heidi pursed her lips. "How many guys are gonna be there?"
Typical Heidi.
"A ton," Alex grinned at her cheekily. Heidi smirked, satisfied. Heidi's like one of those fish, she lures you close to her with her glow then eats you up.
"You aren't interested in other guys, are you babe?" He asked me. I bit my lip, trying to look bashful.
"Of course not, I've got you," I said, turning away as Mr. Fitz continued talking. Okay, importance of literature. Whatever.
The bell signaling last period was done and over got me to my feet, and Alex put his arm around me, Heidi pursing her lips and following.
"Hey, do you wanna come over?" Alex asked, looking at me.
"Definitely." I smiled. Alex took my hand and I waved at Heidi.
I got into Alex's car, a Porsche, Heidi blowing me a kiss as she walked to her Merc, and sped off towards Macy's. I waited for Alex to finish off his hi-fives and then, he got in. I cranked up the stereo and leaned back in the chair. "You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, just kind of tired." I replied. Tired of my parents.
"You can rest, Ash." He said.
"I know". I said silently looking out the car window. I felt him intertwining our fingers and he leaned into me and whispered, "Don't worry Ash, I won't let anyone hurt you okay? I will always be there to protect you. I promise". He landed a gentle kiss on my cheek.
I couldn't help but blush. Alex and I have been together for over three years and he's not once left my side, he's always there when I needed him and he always makes sure I am okay, although sometimes I act like a bitch towards him. He was the one spot in my life that made everything better.
I hope I would never lose him, ever.
"Thanks", I pecked him gently on the lips and smiled.
He hit the accelerator with his Vans and sped the car away.
