"I thought we already went over this!" I heard my mom yelling from downstairs. Well I bet you already know who she's speaking with . . . my dad. He returned home yesterday evening and ever since they've basically been done each other's throats. Ask me why, I have no idea.
"We are running out of time Karen!" I heard my dad's enraged voice from downstairs. Sigh, when was this ever going to stop?
He just came from the hospital yet they're both ready to murder each other. Seriously, am I the only one with parents like that?
"Time? What time! What did you expect me to do, come on now!" With that, I turned up my music, put on my headphones.
Music on, world off.
I was now listening to one of my favourite bands, Black Veil Brides ~ Lost it all. Surprised much that I love them? Well I'm pretty much more into the metal bands and stuff especially BVB, Sleeping With Sirens, Asking Alexandria etc.
I sighed and finished the last page of my Maths home-work, tossing the book over into my bag but that pretty much was a fail, obviously.
Well it was Saturday and here I was.
I wondered what Heidi would be doing today. Yes we did mend things . . but that doesn't mean that everything she did would just magically disappear from my memory, cause it didn't. I forgive, I don't forget. To be honest also, I actually did miss her in some weird, twisted way.
It still hurt.
But with time, I'm sure a broken heart can be mended, am I right or wrong?
As for Alex, I haven't spoken to him after our encountering. Truthfully, I still really don't know what to think or to feel about all of this. All I know is that he hurt me pretty bad.
My phone vibrated. I reached for it on the other side of the bed. Heidi was calling.
"Hey . . " I answered unexpectantly.
"Hey Ash!" She squealed into the phone, her voice clearly full of enthusiasm.
I chuckled lowly and replied, "What's going on?"
"Omg Ash, have you forgotten what day it is?" She awed in a loud gasp.
I think I pretty much know what day it is . . it's Saturday? Right?
"Uhmm..Saturday?" I replied confusingly, raising my brow; not that she could see me or anything.
"Yes yes! Saturday! It's time for something called the River Bash Ash! Oh my gosh, don't tell me you forgot!" She was literally casing me to go death.
"Oh my! it's the river bash already!" I responded in surprise.
Each year the entire town would come together on January 28 and we'd have this huge river bash, just something to socialize, unite etc, and you get the idea, right?
"Yes yes it is! I am having such a hard time to pick my bikini, should I put the flowery purple one from VS or the black and red one?" She groaned, as I heard her unpacking stuff in the background.
"Umm...well...I always loved the red and black though". I smiled faintly.
"Yay, red and black it is! Now your turn, which bikini are you wearing? Please don't tell me it's that orange and yellow thing because you know, I like hate, hate it, ugh, it just makes me wants to pule especially the colors, jsut reminds me of baby vomit". I heard her groan.
I laughed non-chalanty and replied, "Umm..I don't know Heid..if I'm going to go though."
Who are you kidding Ash? You've been there every year, for the past sixteen years of your life! Why on earth would you want to miss this one?
