A couple of days later, I woke in my bed, happier than I had ever been before.Everything was finally going the way I wanted it to, without me hurting anyone else in the procI yawned, stretching out in my bed, hearing my phone buzz, before picking it up. The screen was glowing, and I realised that I had a notification.
Narrowing my eyes in order to see through the blinding brightness from my phone, I read over the words.Trevor ♥: hey love, are you free today? <3
I smiled, a blush rising to my cheeks.
Ashley: yeah, definitely!
Ashley: what are you planning?
I waited for a little, before I got a reply.
Trevor ♥: that's for me to know and for you to find out ;)
I furrowed my eyebrows, confused.
Ashley: meaning what?
Trevor ♥: it's a surprise :)
Trevor ♥: you'll see
A surprise? I thought, a wave of excitement rushing through my veins. For me?
I was about to ask him what on earth he meant, before he texted again.
Trevor ♥: be at the gas station by 2. ask for a guy called ron when you get there.
I was starting to get confused, and a little concerned. What exactly was he planning on doing?
Ashley: trevor????
Trevor ♥: no questions. you'll understand. just trust me, okay?
Ashley: okay xx
Trevor ♥: love you baby
Ashley: love you too :)
I started planning out my outfit for whatever the hell Trevor was planning, going with a cute tank top and some classic dark-wash denim jeans. I combed my hair out and let the curls fall freely, before applying my favourite shade of Baby Lips - Berry Crush - which gave just the right touch of colour to my lips. I grabbed my bag and car keys, before getting into the car and driving down the highway. The nearest gas station was around 10 minutes away, and was by far the most popular one.
When I got there, I turned off the engine, stepping out of the vehicle. I walked into the corner shop in the gas station, and walked over to the cashier.
He was a boy, probably not much older than me, with a curly mop of black hair.
"Um, excuse me?" I asked, and he smiled expectantly. "I'm looking for someone called Ron.""That's me!" He beamed. He held out a little scrap of paper. "This is for you. Good luck."
I unfolded the piece of paper.
"Head to Brighbird Mall and stop by Elizabeth's dress store; I know how much you love it there.
- Trevor."
I raised my eyebrows at Ron. "Is this some sort of a stupid wild goose chase?" Ron laughed, dimples appearing on the sides of his cheeks. I was suddenly struck with a minor thought - he seemed like the kind of person Rihanna would enjoy meeting.
"Sorry, Ashley, my lips are sealed."
"How did you-" I began, but he shushed me.
"Go on! You've got to go. Can't you read? Someone's waiting for you." Ron smiled. I smiled back, thanking him hurriedly, before getting back into my car.
A million questions went racing through my mind. What was I supposed to do? What did Trevor want from me? What was the point of this entire thing? And why was I going to pick up a dress?
tried to not ponder too much on the whole thing but to say that i was not insanely curious would be an understatement. It took me a few minutes to head down to Elizabeth's when I got there I hurriedly parked my car and made my way towards the entrance. Surprisingly it wasn't as packed as I expected it to have been, oh well.
