Dylan POV

During lunch time, i head down to cafeteria with Kate clinging onto me. Kate is talking non-stop making me more furious. I was thinking of ways to get into detention and having Kate talking continuously doesn't help. As we were about to sit on our usual table, which in at corner of the cafeteria, a nerd boy knocked onto me causing his tray full of foods and drink to spill all over my sweatshirt and my sweat pants. This is just so great! Everyone seems to test my patience today!

"S...so...sorry." The nerd stuttered.

"Hey nerd, you think your sorry can clean up the mess you make?" I pushed the nerd against the wall, holding on tightly to his collar.

"I'm so...sor–" No chance to talk nerd. I punch him straight on his jaw causing blood to flow out of his mouth. I take this opportunity to throw a few more punches on his face.

"Dylan! Stop it! Oh my god, Dylan! He's bleeding! STOP!" Kate is already shouting pushing my arms away from the nerd. The thing is, i can't stop punching this nerd. This nerd literally feels like a punching bag! Before i could continue bashing up the nerd, a few boys separate me from the nerd.

"I AM NOT FINISH YET! LET ME GO!" I gritted my teeth. These boys are god damn stronger than me. I looked at the bloody nerd who was already curled up in a ball on the floor.

"What has gotten into you, Dylan? Principal office now!" Mrs Hemmington demanded.

"Dylan, this is a serious offense. Detention after school for 2 weeks. No more excuses or i will not hesitate to bring your parents into this matter. Is that understood?" The principal said straightforwardly.

Yes! No more worries on how to get into detention. I didn't know it would be that easy though. I purposely bashed that nerd up intentionally. Oh poor boy. Tsk...tsk...tsk.

Right after school has ended, i straight away went to detention class. No one was there. I sat down and took out my homeworks to complete it.

The door to the detention room opened to reveal Mr Albert, who walks sloppily carrying a newspaper on his left hand. I nodded to him once we made eye contact just to acknowledge him my presence.

Not long after Mr Albert took his seat, the door opened again to reveal Joshua and his gang. They were laughing like some joker and once he saw me, he literally stop laughing and swallowed his saliva. He and his gang walked past me and to the back of the room. As soon as they settle down, nobody speak a word. The room is awfully quiet.

I continued doing my assignments. After i have completed everything, i glanced over at my wrist watch. Where is Paige? Detention started an hour ago. I took out my novel and began reading.

The door squeaks catching my attention. I looked up to see pale looking Paige. She saw me and quickly took the seat next to me.

"Don't mind right?" She said.

"Not a problem. Paige, why are you so pale?" I had to ask.

"It's none of your concern." She simply said.

"Don't worry. I'm here. They won't dare to even breathe the same air as you." I tried to convince her. I know that she is still scared from the bullying.

"Thanks Dylan. Where are you here anyways?"

"I bashed a nerd during lunch time."

"So, it was you. The whole school is talking about the fight. I was wondering who was it."

"Yeah, it was me. Paige, did you really do the math homework?" I wanted to know.

"No. I asked Shay to do for me. And she did. I put it in my file, i swear! I guess i might have left it at Shay's house." By looking into her eyes, i can tell that she is telling the truth.

"Okay, okay, i believe you." Paige seems to relax after hearing what i said. I guess im the only one who believes her.

"You need help with math?" I offered.

"Hmmm... If you don't mind..." I saw her cheeks turning faint red.

"Why do hate math anyway? You got to love them then it will be easier." I don't understand why would anyone hate math.

"Math is so confusing, Dylan. Too much calculations, too much problem solving, too much of everything! I was so lucky to get a D grade last year for math!" She is flailing her hands in the air. I just shook my head disagreeing her while smiling.

"You love biology right? Why not, you see math like they way you see in biology. Treat math like biology. Love math like biology. See if it helps you. Okay, Paige? I know you will thank me later." I winked at her and continue doing her 10 sets of math paper.
