Chapter 6: Nagisa's Mom

Karma's POV:

About a week ago, Nagisa told me about his mom. Today after class he seemed nervous, so since I'm his friend I thought I'd ask him what was wrong. "Nagisa, you've been acting weird all day, what's wrong?"
Of course, him being....well him, he wouldn't give in so easily. "W-
What are you talking about, Karma?" I sighed, knowing I was gonna have to pry it out of him. "Don't play innocent," I continued "I know something's wrong." Nagisa looked away before replying about the situation. "My...mom's coming." His voice was barley a whisper, as he finished the surprising sentence. A few days back, Nagisa had said that his mom lived far from where we were, and was most likely never coming back since she hated Nagisa and has always wanted a girl not a boy. But, what happened to his dad? I didn't want to ask. "Well...." For once I seemed out of words, I was speechless. I felt like I had just became paralyzed, unable to move or speak, but yet can still see and hear. "Karma?" I heard Nagisa say, I looked at him. "Mmm?" I silently asked. Nagisa became soundless. He looked down, with a expressionless face. "Why do you think she's coming back?" He asked. "I don't really know, but I don't think it's for something good." I replied to him.

Nagisa's POV:

I seem to believe every word that dripped out of Karma's mouth. Every word, every sentence, everything. I felt like if I were in a really bad situation, he would be the first person I ran to for help. We both silently grabbed are things and headed separate ways to are homes. My thoughts quickly continued, why would she come back? It just didn't make any sense, she never liked me and didn't love me like a son and mother would. She usually would make me wear girl clothing abd refer to me and a she and not my actual sex. She was really cruel to me. "NAGISA LOOK OUT!" Someone shouted. I suddenly heard honking and turned to see what it was. Apparently my mind wasn't functioning right. "What....?" And that was it, that's all I could say before darkness overcame my vision.
