(Hope it's alright, kind of bad and cheesy. But oh well..)

You sat on the grass picking apart a dandelion, letting the discarded yellow bits fall onto your printed skirt. The sun was beaming and warm, it just was almost too hot to be sitting in the direct sunlight, but you and your fiance wanted to see Blind Faith's debut. You were good friends with Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker. You had to come and show your support, plus your fiance Donovan wanted to play and you always loved seeing that.  You were waiting on Donovan to get back with a few soda pops, since it was so terribly hot out. You looked around catching him bopping through the crowd, carrying the glass drinking bottles. He saw you and smiled, quickening his pace, before coming and sitting next to you. "I got you your drink, Darling." He said handing you your soda. "Thanks, dear." You kissed his cheek and took a long swig of your cold Pepsi. "When are you going on?" You questioned, squinting you eyes from the brightness. "In just a few actually." He exclaimed, lifting his hand and tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. "When does Blind Faith go on?" Donovan pursed his lips-thinking. "I'm pretty sure they go on at Five or Five-thirty."  "God, it's so hot, hopefully we don't melt before then." You said, laying back on the soft grass. "Do you want to go find some shade?" Your fiance questioned, looking concerned. You closed your eyes. "No, it'll be fine, love. Thank you for the offer though. We could walk around for a bit?" You suggested. He nodded with a smile on his face, Donovan stood holding his right hand out to help you up. You grabbed his arm, standing successfully without spilling your soda. "Where do you wanna go to?" Donovan asked, still holding your small hand in his. You shrugged your shoulders. "We could walk to the lake?" You said, throwing out another suggestion. "Sounds wonderful, love." You and Donovan walked hand in hand through the thick crowds of people listening to Richie Havens set. Most people where laying in the grass or swaying to the music, most everyone was sweating and it seemed a lot a people were smoking or taking some kind of drugs. There was a think smell of pot as you passed through the crowd, there was a few groups of other people hanging around by the lake, when you and Donovan got there. A few boys with their shirts off sat at the edge of the water with their ankles in, passing a large doobie back and forth. "Oh, it's very much cooler over here." Donovan stated looking out at the clear blue water. "I'm going to put my feet in, care to join?" You said, leaning down to take your sandals off. "No, thanks I'd like to watch you though." He laughed, looking for a dry place to sit, since he had chosen to wear mostly white- other than his dark trousers. "Here you can sit with these then." You placed your shoes next to him, before trotting off to the water. You stuck your toes in seeing how chilly it was, it wasn't too cold, so you walked a little further in- up to your ankles. You turned around looking at Donovan who sat there watching you. "How does the water feel?" He asked, noticing you looking back at him. "Its nice- cool." He nodded. You bent down, sticking you hand in the water, picking up a shiny pebble to observe. You dropped it back down in the water once you were finished looking at it, you really enjoyed being in the calming water. You looked up after seeing long ripples in the water near you, to see Donovan had rolled his pants up and walked out into the water to join you. "I thought I'd join you, you looked very peaceful out here." He smiled, you stood back up, putting your arms around him. "Isn't it nice." You smiled, kissing his perfect chiseled nose. "Definitely, you look so beautiful today." He spoke, pushing your hair back, kissing you on your nose as well. You blushed at his compliment. "Thank you, Donovan. If I might say you look absolutely handsome today." He half smiled, "Thank you, Darling." You put your head on his chest, listening to the sounds  of his heartbeat and all of the other sounds around. Before a thought popped into your head, "Hey, Don?" Your Fiance looked down at you. "Yes?"  "Weren't you supposed to play after Richie Havens?" You questioned him. His eyes went sort of wide. "Goodness, I am." He laughed out loud. You began laughing along with him. "I don't hear Richie Havens anymore." You exclaimed, He shook his head. "We better get going!" Donovan stated, with a laugh, grabbing you by hand and walking out of the water. Needless to say you two grabbed your shoes and ran back to the stage...
