ANA'S POV

Complete and utter bliss. The moments right before you wake up. When you slowly start opening your eyes and everything around you still is blurry, completely without meaning. I wish that life stayed like that, blurry and out of focus and then I wouldn't have to deal with the craziness that is going on in my mind. But life is not like that. It does not wait until you are ready for it, it hits you like a truck when you are least expecting it. My name is Ana Pierce and my truck was Liam Cormac, but I just did not know it yet.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves and start from the beginning.  I live in a small town in South Carolina now, after moving here last month from Minnesota.  Thank god for no snow.  I am a Senior in high school and start my first day tomorrow and let me tell you, I only hate two things in my life.  People staring at me and the first day of school. Well, and maybe, birds... I hate birds, but you get the point.

I was living in my complete in utter bliss, lying in the sweet embrace of my comforter, when my little brother comes running through my door.  "Ana!! Charlie said that if I woke you up, you would bring to the park! Will you?" said Derek.  How could you say no to a four year old with eyes so blue that even the meanest of people couldn't say no to him.  On the other hand, my twin brother Charlie was getting murdered later.  "Of course I will take you to the park later, but why don't you go down and tell Charlie that you want pancakes for breakfast?" The only response I got from him was the sound of his little feet running down the hall and downstairs in search of Charlie.

I guess I should probably get up.  Groaning, as I slowly got up out of bed, I couldn't help, but think of my parents absence. Dad, always working crazy hours or on a business being the successful lawyer he is , and Mom a surgeon always left the house with just us kids.

Walking into my bathroom, my eyes were caught by my disheveled appearance.  Being on the short side, 5''3, made for me looking a lot younger than I was, but I was okay with it.  I had always been told that I looked like my Mom when she was my age with the untamable long brown, curly hair, and the ivory complexion, but my ocean blue eyes came from my dad.  I thought myself to be average, not beautiful nor pretty.  Hopping into the steaming shower, I couldn't help of think the dreadful prospect of school tomorrow.  Well, I better hurry up or Derek will get impatient.  Charlie better have made me pancakes too.
