I walked into the class, thinking everything was normal. I sat down in the seat in the last row, furthest to the wall, and from the teacher. Of course.
I gave a signal to Anna and Chrissy, who looked as scared as I felt inside.
The messy stacks of never-ending books curled my mind. The bookshelf to the front of us looked almost as it if was sinking into the tan floor from the knick knacks being shoved into every crevice. The looming feeling of teachers, who weren't even there, looking over your shoulder, filled the room.
The board taunting me to draw little unicorns and turd emoji's on it felt incredibly overpowering. Just a me problem I guess.
The door opened up, and Ms. Reardon walked in. The sweetest teacher I had ever had. She was beautiful, educated, and the most understanding woman ever! Oh my god, you don't even know how much I praise her. Without her, I'd probably drop out of school.
Her jawline could cut a diamond. I almost thought she was related to Cameron Dallas's. "Good morning class! Lovely to see all of your shining faces, for the start of our magical year together."
"Good morning Ms. Reardon!" We all spit out in a synchronized tone.
I turned around to see Anna's shining face. Her smile was so big, it was almost the size of her ginormous heart.
"What's with the smirk lovey?" She was almost always smiling. I knew she loved English class, but I didn't think she could love it this much. This had to be for something else.
"Look to the right, far-back corner of the room," She whispered as if she was giving me secret government intel. I looked and didn't see anything peculiar at all. There were a few kids in our class, waiting to start the first class of their new stressful year. And then, I saw what she was talking about. There was Mike. Anna's biggest crush since, well, I couldn't remember even if I tried.
He saw me looking, noticed Anna, and got up. He started to come to our side of the room.
As fast as I could, I sped around looked Anna straight in the eye, and gave her the look.
If your a girl, and you were ever once or are a teen, I know that you know what look I'm talking about. The look to say, "Oh my god. You better believe somethings about to go down."
I cooed in her ear, "OOHH. Oh boy, Mike saw you and now he's coming. Damn, this is gonna get real."
Her smile transformed into a look of fear, with a little sprinkle of anxiety around the eyes.
He sat down directly next to her, and behind Chrissy. Me and Chrissy exchanged a lifted eyebrow, and a little smirk. Then I looked at Anna, careful to shield my face from Mike, and whispered, "What now?". She shurugged and then shook it off.
He looked, she looked back, and her face turned the same shade as Chrissy's red nails. His mouth opened, and he said with shaking hands, "Hey Anna. So, I have something to ask you."...
