I was squeezing Jack's hand so hard. He was my go to. He had told me if for any reason I could not be there any longer, he would tell his mom to come pick us up and order some pizza and donuts.

The room was big, looming, and scary. It was a ginormous warehouse rented out, and all done up. I was squeezing Jack's hand so hard.

Anna was already there with Mike. They were sitting on the couch and talking with overfilled Coke bottles on their laps. They were so cute.

I saw Chrissy and Kaylen dancing with Marco and Arina. The recently polished wood reflected their shining short dresses.

Jack looked at me, Cat, its going to be alright. Now lets go dance.

We stepped onto the dance floor, as a new found confidence swirled around in brain as the music swirled around in my body. Rihanna's words felt powerful on my shoulders, all the was down to my hips. Work, work, work, work, work, work. Yes Riri, I don't care who is here tonight, and who I'm with or who I'm not with. I am going to work.

I danced with all my might. Soon enough, I heard a few, "Whoa, dude, look at Cat and Jack." We had already done this song for a competition, and knew a whole routine to it (which we had a ton of fun showing the whole grade).

I knew that their was a spin in this routine, and I knew it was now. Jack grabbed my arm, pulled me in close, and then spun me out. I did 6 turns until I felt my right leg get tangled under my dress! OH NO.

I tilted and then saw the floor on the wall. Everything went all wonky for a second and THEN...

I felt two arms under me and everything adjusted again. The entire room fell silent. I heard a cup break. I was lifted into arms that were carrying me like a newly wed bride. As I came to my senses, a saw a familiar face staring at me worriedly. I knew this face because it was one I had been staring at for 3 years. Chris.

"Cat, are you alright?? I thought you were going to get a concussion!" His icy blue stare pulled me into a trance.

"Chris, you saved me. Th... thank you. So much."

He came in close to my ear and spoke, "Anything for you."

Still carrying me, he walked me over to a chair, sat me down, and then smiled. "I'm so glad your okay."

I was officially shocked.

I took a few minutes to breathe, but everyone was coming up to me. Chrissy and Anna mainly just cooed about how that was the sweetest thing they had ever seen.

After a few minutes I was to embarrassed to do anything. I was sitting with Jack who felt mortified. Then as if my life was repeating itself, Chris came over to me. He looked me straight in the eye. "Cat, would you like to dance with me?"

I blushed so hard I thought my cheeks were burning. I gave Jack a little shrug to check if it was okay I leave him for a few minutes.

He turned me, and caught me, and spun me, and he was the sweetest boy in the world. He smiled, and that was the moment I knew, that this would be a night to remember.
