"HEY!," I heard a high and pitchy voice behind me. "If you think you can just take my man, like, from behind my back, then you are, like, extremely mistaken, um, (*shove) Cat!"

I was stuck in the silence of the once music filled room.

"Hey, don't touch her Merna." Chris stepped between me and her. " You and me were done ages ago. Get it through your head, that luckily, were over. Don't blame Cat for your problems." My eyes glowed and my smile shimmered. How perfect was he. (insert heart eye emoji)

She slapped him ferociously in the face. Stunned, and in pain, Chris was pushed aside.

"B-back off Merna. I don't want to fight you. Please just sit back down." I stuttered, as scared as

"Sh-sh-sh-sh-shut up Cat!" Merna mocked me. "I know you, idiot. Remember? You told me everything. All your secrets, and I know that this is going to hurt. A LOT."

When we were 10, I shared something with her, something deep. Once when I was a toddler, I had hit the tip of my head on the front of my bed. My parents rushed me to the hospital when they heard a shriek. Apparently, I was born with a peculiar birth defect, that when the tip of my skull is hit too hard, I black out for a while.

She hit me, closed fisted, as hard as she could on the very top of my head.

All the energy in my body drained out of me.

The plug had been pulled.

I felt the smooth skin of Anna's hand on my face and  my head resting on her knees, while she sobbed her eyes out. My eyes closed, and the last thing I heard was the quiet hum of the bursting loud sirens.

Never-ending Black.
