Chapter 11- Delta

"It can't be true. Tell me its not true."  I stood up, and his mouth slid open like a codfish. Everyone in the room, astonished I could walk after years of never-ending slumber. 

The felling it creates in you, just to know that YEARS of your precious life have slipped away so easily, is enough to make you emotionally unstable forever. 

"We were about to lose hope on, on you. We would have pulled your plug 2 years ago if your parents had given, um, given up hope. " He was still in-shock, and choking on his own words. 

I looked down, realizing my hair made it down to my hips. My once sharp turquoise eyes, turned to the rugged color of the infamous deep ocean.  

I realized something I had not yet considered.

"Where is she." I spit out through my teeth.

"Where's, MERNA."

"The girl that inflicted this tragedy upon you, has been sent to a juvenile home. Her sentence was to last 5 years. But, when she was delivered the news that you had been asleep for so many years, she begged them to make her sentence 10 years. If you never see her again, she would be lucky. It would cause her so much guilt and grief, she would wish she was in a coma."

Some of my life, whisked away from me like candy from a baby. I only wish it was that.

Seconds later, Mom and Dad flew in through the door.

They were with something I never knew existed. 

It would change my life. 

I was standing right in front of me.

A baby girl.

"OH MY GOD. My Beautiful Catherine!!!" Tears flew down her face. She had not seen me in four years, and yet I felt like I saw yesterday. 

"Cat!!! Your alive!! I knew that hope would make my dreams come true." He tried to cover his tear falling down from his wet icy eyes.

"Mom, Dad, who is this?" I knew the answer but had to hear it out of their mouths. 

"Well, something happened, while you were gone.

This is Delta,

your sister."
