chapter21: homecoming (last part)

Natalees POV

Mark and I danced for a few more minutes, till we were interrupted by Suzy.
"ok everyone...welcome to homecoming 2k16!! this will be the last one for our beautiful year 12s so let's make the best of it! voting for who you want to be your Queen and King will start in 5 minutes so meanwhile enjoy the dance floor you none couples out there" everyone chuckles.

"You planning on making Stephanie Queen?" I ask him to try to get a conversation going.
he sighs.
"No. I'm not interested in this Queen and king bullshit" he starts looking around the gym.
"it's not bullshit...it's actually really magically for a girl to be nominated as Queen. It's like winning an Oscar or like Cinderella when she walked in at the bowl. Its magnificent." Mark looks down at me. I gave him a 'what' look.

"maybe I'm planning to make you Queen." he smirks. "but I won't be your king." I look up to meet his eyes.

The song finally finished allowing both of us to separate.

"Ok everyone. May the voting begin"

"Natalee." I look up to be met by eddies face.
"hm?"
"who you voting for?" he tries to take a sneak peak from my sheet but I cover up. "oh you voting for us?" he grins.
"No. I'm voting for Jackson and Madison." I answered him in a duh tone.
"good luck with that. I'm voting for us." he gave me a toothy smile. I chuckle at his confidence.

I notice no one is at their seats and I was the only one at our table. Eddie went to the restroom while the others are nowhere to be found.
"Hey Natalee." I turn around to see Suzy coming my way smiling like an idiot. I get up from my seat and smile at her.
"hello suzy"
"Natalee Can I ask a huge favour of you?" she pleaded.
"yes sure anything."
"could you please announce the winners of the 2k16 homecoming Queen and king?" my smile kinda dropped knowing that I won't be in the competition, but instantly returned knowing I'm the schools president and it's my job.
"uh. sure thing."
"omg omg thank you thank you thank you" she starts jumping.
"anytime." I chuckle at her silliness.
"remember come up in 10." she reminds me while walking off. I sigh. I turn around to find Mark sitting down with his arms crossed over his chest.

"what a bummer, and here I am trying to make you queen." I roll my eyes at him and he smirks. "is pres upset she won't win a crown?" he fake pouts.
"leave me alone Mark." I say as I sat down and got my phone out.
"well you see I can't do that." he smiles. "come on pres don't tell me you wanted to be queen?" his tone went from playful to serious.
"no but Eddie was rooting for us and I didn't want to disappoint him." it's true I didn't want to disappoint Eddie no matter what.

"he'll be fine." he gets up and walks away leaving me all alone again. I sigh and look at the time. I have like 5 minutes till I get up there.

hell I was bored. Argh! I texted Maddie asking where she was and she said she was outside wth Jackson and they'll be returning soon. I didn't bother texting the rest. As I was deep in thought, Eddie came back from the restroom and sat down next to me.
"OMG finally. I was bored to death!" I exclaimed wrapping my arms around him.
"wow wow calm down. sorry I took my time." he grins.

"Ha ha ha." i glared at him. "umm Eddie. I won't be participating in the competition because I have to host it. I'm sorry, I know how much you wanted to win." I have him a frown and he chuckles. I give him a confused look.
"it doesn't matter. as long as you're having fun then it's fine right princess?" he winks. he's so cute. I grin at him.

Suzy came running to me telling me it was time I announce the winners.

"now please welcome our schools gorgeous president, Natalee to announce the winners of 2k16 homecoming!" she gestures for me to go up the stage. As I step up people started to applause.
I look around and spot everyone sitting down on our table. Just then my eyes meets Marks and he mouths "break a leg" and he smirks. I roll my eyes as I step closer to the mic.

"Hello everyone. This is 2k16 homecoming and it's the last one for year 12s" I smile at myself. "it's been really fun for as long as I can remember. to be honest with you today, I was actually hoping that well I could compete with all you beautiful ladies tonight for the Queen crown. But it's ok. Anyway. I would sincerely like to congratulate the two lucky people who won Queen and King." *drum rolls*
"Our Queen for 2k16 homecoming is..."I open the card and couldn't believe my eyes. "Wang fei fei." I look at Fei as she stands up with a huge smile spread across her face. I laugh at her.

She steps up to the stage and I give her the flowers and put the crown on her head. "congratulations Queen." I say as I hug her. "Thank you princess." she grins.

"ok ok now our King for 2k16 is.....Im jaebum!" everyone starts clapping as JB makes his way to the front. I hand him his bouquet and his crown and lead them to the dance floor. I went back to the table where everyone is seated.

marks POV
We listen carefully to what pres had to say and believe me when I say bor-ing. So jb and fei out the queen and king. your majesty I chuckle at my cheesiness.

it was 10:30 and I was hella tired. Stephanie wanted to go home too yay!. Now I'm in the car with Stephanie and pres at the back. Why is Natalee there? well I'm here to answer this for you.

flashback
It was 10 and Eddie wanted to go home because he had a family issue. thought he doesn't talk to his parents? Natalee knew what he meant and let him leave. She couldn't go with him because she had to close up since well she's pres. The gang went home and I was the only one there. It was 10:20 when Natalee finished closing up the gym. I was eager to go home. Stephanie begged me to take her home and since I was fucking tired I accepted

"Um Mark." I turn to find Pres looking down at the floor. "can you please give me a ride back home? Eddie left and everyone else left and and and I didn't bring my car because I thought I was gonna to home with Eddie but then he left and I was shocked and since I had to close up. I didn't want him to wait and all and and I don't have a ride so I'm asking you since you're the only here and as you can see yes I, Kim Natalee, am desperate for you, Mark Tuan, to take me back home." she finished that big paragraph and I couldn't help but laugh. how cute does she look when she's desperate?

"uh no." before I could answer Stephanie answered for me.
"I'm asking Mark not you." they start shooting daggers at eachother. I can't leave kitty here by her self.

"ok kitty I'll give you a ride home." her face lit up and she gave me a toothy smile and then stuck her tongue out at Stephanie.
"fine but I'm sitting in the front." Stephanie walked towards my car.
"uh no honey. I am. You'll obviously distract him and we'll end up dead." Kitty refused.

"um no." Stephanie disagreed. They started yelling at each other.
"ENOUGH!" they both looked at me. surprise written all over their faces.
"if you two don't shut the fuck up you're both walking" I was tired to deal with this shit.
"sorry" they both mutter a sorry.
"you're both sitting at the back and that's final" Stephanie makes a face then turns around. Kitty pouted then turned around facing the car.

flashback ended.

And that's how I ended up with both the witch and kitty.
