Chapter 13

Lexi's POV

Holly. That's all I can think about. Even in my sleep. "Morning beautiful." She said snapping me into reality. She kissed my cheek before getting up. She walked toward the closet and started to get dressed. She threw some clothes at me before giggling and told me to get dressed so I did as she asked. Once clothed, she intertwined our fingers and said "Let's go for a drive." Before I could answer she had already started to pull me away. We headed down stairs and Holly went to pull me straight out the door but I stopped at the kitchen door and pulled us in. I held onto Holly's hand before saying to her mum "Morning, how has your week been?" She smiled brightly at me and replied after a sip of tea "It was okay, my hearts hurting Ally but for thanks for asking love." I gave her a smile and added "So is mine, but I'm going to make sure we find someone who is going to treat her right. One day someone's going to hold her and stick all of her broken pieces back together. She just needs to be sad for a while." Her mum stared at me with shock before pulling me into a big hug. I hugged her back as she said "Never leave. I think this house would fall apart without you." Hol let go of my hand and rubbed my lower back. When I pulled away from the hug Hol pulled me close to her side before saying "We're going for a drive Ma we won't be gone too long." I was dragged out the door before I could say anything and sat in the car.

"Where to my lady?" She asked as she kissed my cheek. I intertwined our fingers before saying "Surprise me." She nodded then started up the car. We pulled off the drive and sped down the road. We sang along to the radio and danced until Holly stopped for a moment and said "I feel so alive with you." I agreed with her as she pulled up onto a road. My road. "Where are we going?" She took a deep breath and said "Your parents house," she pulled into my drive and shut off the car before continuing "I love you so much and I love waking up every morning to see your face and that is why I want you to move in-permanently." She stared into my eyes waiting for a response. I knew things were moving fast and I wasn't sure I was ready but I leant in and kissed her softly before saying "okay I better get my stuff then." We got out of the car and knocked on the door making sure we weren't acting like a couple. Mum opened the door and instantly enveloped me into a hug. "What a lovely surprise! I missed you." Mother said as she pulled out of the hug. I smiled at her as Holly said "Nice to see you, Alexis I'll go get as much as I can, we can come back later or tomorrow-you just catch up with your parents okay?" I nodded as she ran off upstairs. Mum looked confused and went to speak but I cut her off "Mum I'm moving in with Holly." Her jaw fell open as I walked into the lounge. She followed and sat next to my dad as I stood in front of them. They turned off the tv and I started to talk "Okay I know that it's not your fault how Matthew treated me but it's made this house my worst nightmare. He's made the house that I once adored, turn into something evil and terrifying. As much as I don't want to live away from you two, I simply cannot be here anymore. I will visit and maybe sometimes I can stay the night but I think it's going to take time. I'm sorry but it's for the best that I move out." My mum sobbed into my fathers arms as he frowned at me. "Where will you stay?" Mother asked drying her eyes. I paused for a moment before to think. I was scared of how they would respond but I realized...it doesn't matter. I'm moving in with the love of my life whether they like it or not. I looked out the window and Hol was putting a bag of things in the car and it was already getting full. I turned back to my parents and said "I am going to stay at Holly's. Her mother is happy with me being there, she actually said to me before we left that I keep her family together. Her sister doesn't mind either. And well Holly definitely doesn't mind I mean she was the one who asked and has been looking after me." My parents looked confused and after a minuet or so of silence Holly walked in and said "I've packed as much as I can into the car, we can come back tomorrow for more." My dad turned to her then back to me and asked "Why did she ask you to move in?" Holly looked at me with panic before saying "I like spending time with my best friend and I like seeing her everyday." She smiled at my parents as soon as she had finished as I sighed. I stood there in silence for a moment before looking at Holly. Fuck she's so beautiful. And she's mine. Why would I want to keep the fact that she's mine a secret?

I cleared my throat and said clearly as I admired Hol "Actually that's not really why, although that is true. Holly asked me to move in with her because she's my girlfriend." My dad turned bright red and stood up. He edged closer to me and raised his hand and slapped me as he shouted "No! No daughter of mine is gay!" Mum stood in the corner with a look of horror in her eyes. He went to hit me again but the next thing I knew Holly had jumped in between us hoping to stop him but instead my dad hit her. She fell to the floor and held her cheek as she looked up in shock. I looked down at my angel as mum shouted at my dad "What is wrong with you!??!?" I looked back to my dad who wasn't phased by the fact that he had just hit my everything. I put my hands around his neck and pushed him away from her. Once we were on the other side of the room I pushed him down to the floor and kicked him in the balls before screaming in his face "I hate you!! She is the best thing in my fucking life, What is wrong with you?!??! You're DEAD to me!!" I rushed to Holly and kissed where she had been slapped. I lifted her up into my arms and kissed her softly on the lips before turning to my mum and saying "If you want to see me you know where to find me. But I'm never going near that cunt again. I'm sorry mum." I rushed out the house and put her in the passenger seat as I ran round to the drivers seat. My mum was standing at the window watching us as tears were falling down her face but I drove off. I did feel bad for mum because she was a kind person and always treated me how I wanted to be treated. I got us home as quick as I could and pulled up. I jumped out the car then ran around to Holly as she was getting out. She closed the door and turned around to me. I wrapped my arms around her waist before pulling her as close as possible to my body. I burst into tears and repeated "I'm sorry" into her ear multiple times. She rubbed my back and told me to be quiet until she said "It's okay." I pulled away and shouted "No! It's not okay! You can't be treated like that!?! And I fucking let it!! I should have stopped it!! You can't stand there and tell me it's okay because it's not! I've been in your position and I know how shit and shocked you're feeling right now!" She held onto me tightly and told me to calm down.

After a minute or so of rocking me she lead me to the door and lead us into the house as she locked the car. We walked in the house and she sat me in the kitchen. Her mum walked in and asked "Hi girls, how was your drive? You were gone quite a while." She looked at me then said with a frown "Darling are you okay?" I nodded slowly and motionless but she saw through me. She gave me a big hug as I burst into tears. Holly sat in the corner looking at me with sad eyes as I stared back at her. "I'm sorry miss." I said through my tears but she squeezed me then said softly "Don't be sorry sweetie. And please, call me Ma." I nodded and pulled away before walking over to Holly. She gave me a small smile and watched me approach. I held her hands and rested my forehead on hers before saying softly "You held me when I was hurting. Please let me do the same." She looked into my eyes and just crumbled as she fell into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and gently swayed her side to side before kissing her head softly. Her mum looked sad but walked away upstairs calling Ally's name.
