Chapter 22

~one month later~

Lexis POV

oh my god. I did not think about how much work a puppy is. It's a good job Hugo is cute otherwise I would not be a happy chappy. Although saying that, he's worth the effort. Hol absolutely adores him she is always playing with him and even his cage is in our room at the end of the bed. He sleeps with us sometimes too-it is almost as if we have a child! The best part is as Hugo sleeps so much it doesnt get in the way of our one-to-one time. I swear this girl gets more beautiful every time i lay my eyes on her. I have no words to describe her beauty. Know Hol doesnt know this but- i have written a song for her and I am going to sing it for her at our wedding. I really cant wait. We have decided that we're gonna give hugo a little bow tie to wear at the wedding.

Since we are off school now Holly has gotten herself a job at the pub down the road. Ally, Stevie, Ma and I are all going there for dinner tonight straight after Hollys shift. She works most days and gets good pay but even better- she can work when she pleases. To be truthful, I am so proud of her. I cannot wait to be wed with this beautiful human. What Im most lookinh forward to tonight is going to bed. I love it. Im in my warm bed with my wife to be and our little puppy. It's always the same routine

Our bed is my favourite place to be. Well, no my favourite place is anywhere Holly is but our bed is a close second.

Around 6:30 we all leave the house and start walking to the pub as our table is booked for 7 and Holly should finish then. We walked through the door of the pub and headed to the bar. Ma, Ally and Stevie carried on toward the bar and I headed to the back where Holly will come out when her shifts over. I wait patiently on my phone for a few minutes scrolling through instagram and snapchat. Just as i go to slide my phone into my pocket someone jumps on me and wraps themselves around me. As soon as that familiar scent reached my nose i latched onto her and spun us around. She let out a tiny giggle and pulled her hear back so she could kiss me. I put her down, grabbed her hand and walked us toward the others. "Holly!!" they all say collectively with big smiles on their faces. I place a soft kiss on her cheek then grab my gin and tonic and her cider before leading everyone to our usual table by the fire. Its good because we get all our food free since Holly works here and her boss has a crush on her. I know what youre thinking and the answer is no it doesnt bother me. Mark (the boss) is not at all Hollys type, he is about 40 years old, has a mustache, he smokes, he is an alcoholic and is an aggressive man at times. Not her thing. Plus if she's marrying me then she must be in love with me.

Our meals were amazing as per usual and Mark only hit on Holly twice which is a record. If im honest-it does bother me a bit. It's just that he is trying to seduce my future wife right under my nose. It is just simply disrespectful and one day he's going to get a slap. We headed home around 10pm. Everyone was a bit drunk as we staggered our way through the front door. Ma headed straight up to bed and passed out. Ally and Stevie went into the lounge and started to watch a film whilst cuddling. Holly turned to me and was about to speak but i cute her off with my lips. After a moment or so, i pulled away and said as i ran my fingers through her hair "Go get into bed, I'll let Hugo out then we'll come up." She nodded then made her way upstairs after giving me a quick kiss.

I let Hugo out of his cage and opened the back door. I played with him for a while then. brought him back in. I picked him up and placed a kiss on his head as i made my way upstairs into our room. I opened our door and there on the bed was Holly. She had put her hair in french plaits and was wearing our usual night wear-nothing. I placed Hugo in his bed then started to undress. Holly gazed at me as i walked over to the bed and crawled in. I laid my arm across her stomach and said softly "Hey babygirl" She gave me a squeeze and lifted my chin up before placing a soft kiss on my lips making them tingle. After making out for a while she pulled away and trailed kisses down my chest to my waist leavibg love bites on the way. The usual night routine went on and on until we could no longer take anymore. We flopped back gasping for air. Once we had caught our breath back Hol got up and carefully carried Hugo from his bed to the bed. We all cuddled up and slowly fell asleep. I could just stay like this forever.
