"Annabelle, are you coming on tour with us or not? Because we need to find out exactly if you're coming right now."

"I don't know."

"Well you can come, just whether or not you want to."

"Well I'm not going to get anything done at all, so I might as well come, then."

"You're going to have to keep low, you understand?"

"Yes."

"You are 18, I understand?"

"Yes."

"No messing around in America, we're trying to crack America and if there's anything in relation to you and one of the boys, it's not going to work, you understand? I would have to answer to my bosses. You would."

"Understood. So what do I say if they ask me who I am? Do I tell the truth or…?"

"Yes, tell the truth. But partial truth only, and only the facts which don't link you in any way to a romance with one of the boys. No one's going to like a band where all of them are taken from the start. Giving you a cover story would be too easy to drop or be traced."

"Understandable. Would it even be possible for them to not even notice me in the first place?"

"If you're not revealed to be a girl, if you're not alone with the band and if you're seen at concerts regularly, we could even pass you for someone in the tour group."

"I've participated in band at school, would that be of any use?"

"If you know how to set up a drum kit?"

"I know where everything goes and I know exactly how to pack everything up. And the amps. Any heavy lifting, I'm alright with that."

"Right, well that's all sorted."

"How was it?"

"You want me to be honest?"

"Yeah, alright."

"He's a money freak. His eyes are only on the money, and if getting that money means that I'm hidden away, tucked away like an embarrassing story, he'll do it. Long story short, I don't like him and he probably doesn't like me either," I say.

"We didn't even get to write most of the songs. If you look at the song credits, we only did work on three songs."

"Well I suppose if they could set you up so you have a direction and then you can work on it more, then. I dunno. You're fresh to the industry, after all."

"But most other bands write their songs and they come into the industry maybe a few years older than us, but we still can write songs."

"In that case, you're being spoon fed- led by the nose, I mean, where to take your music."

"I don't like being spoon fed."

"Literally, we know."

"I've had my parents shove sticks into my mouth since I was old enough to not constitute abuse. Let's see if I have a fear of chopsticks."

"Well everyone's different."

"Still seems an irrational fear to me."

"Drop the matter, just drop it."

"What you doing?"

"Packing. Might as well get it all done now rather than later and have to rush."

"Mm, I see. I need to get around to that." Silence, as he stood there by my door. I went about packing.

"Need help?"

"Not with packing, I'm fine with that. What I could do with some help with, is finding you a decent girlfriend."
