Staying Home Sick

Danny's POV

Riiing!... Riiiing!... RIIIIIIINNNNNGGG!!!! SMASH! Danny groaned as he opened his eyes to his throbbing fist on the now smashed alarm clock. 'Damn it!' he thought as his eyes wondered over to Y/N, who was surprisingly still fast asleep in his arms. Danny breathed a sigh of relief. 'Today is Friday... no harm if she stays home from school today right? I mean it's just one extra day of freedom! What harm could it be?!' Danny yawned sleepily and cuddled back up with Y/N, gently kissing her H/C head before closing his eyes and plunging back into a deep sleep.

Y/N's POV  

*slight time skip*

'Aw... this feels nice. I feel... refreshed, and... happy...' then it hit her 'Oh no... MY ALARM CLOCK DIDN'T GO OFF!!!!!' Y/N's eyes popped open only to find herself too close to someone. 

"Ahhh!" Y/N screamed, accidentally falling off the bed. 

"Y/N! Are you okay!" the person exclaimed, quickly jumping off the bed and helping her back up. 

"Wait.. who...?" Y/N stopped mid sentence, quickly remembering that Danny had spent the night. Y/N blushed as Danny chuckled, 

"Good morning sleepyhead! You sure woke up with a start!" Y/N couldn't help but laugh a little.

"Yeah... I just realized I was late for school again!" Y/N and Danny laughed a little. Finally Danny spoke up,

"You know... it wouldn't hurt to miss just one day! Plus you were running a fever last night, so it's probably best to stay home today!" Danny smiled, trying to lead Y/N back to bed. Y/N reluctantly followed, sitting up with her pillow behind her back.

"Weell... I guess it couldn't hurt for just one day..." She spoke, still slightly hesitant. Danny smiled, pulling the cover up to Y/N's waist and kissing her forehead, making Y/N blush. He pulled back and said,

"Good girl! And don't worry... I'm going to take excellent care of you!" Something about those words made a shiver go through Y/N as Danny crawled under the covers on the other side of Y/N, slightly embracing her in a loose hug. Despite the uneasiness racking through the girl's body, the light hug still made a faint blush spread throughout her cheeks.

"So um..." Y/N started, trying to fill the uncomfortable silence, "Since we are staying home today... how about we go downstairs and watch a movie?!" She looked over to Danny as he thought for a moment.

"Sure that sounds like a great idea (cute nickname)!" Danny quickly got up from the bed and picked her up, bridle style. He then started to walk down the stairs and to the living room.

"Hey Danny...? You know I can still walk right?" Y/N joked as Danny gently set her down on the comfortable, chocolate brown couch. (Picture below)

"Don't be silly! We wouldn't want you to get hurt or anything! You never know..." Danny grinned as he laid out another blanket across  the two of them. Y/N, with the TV remote in hand, decided to put on (favorite TV show/Movie). Not much later, Danny started to doze off... leaning his head on Y/N's shoulder. Suddenly Y/N's stomach growled. 'I should get something to eat..' Y/N thought, 'But I don't want to wake up Danny.' After a few minutes of trying to muffle the growling in her stomach, Y/N finally made the decision to at least try and get up without waking him up. Slowly but surely, Y/N placed a pillow under Danny's head and even slower than that, gently placed him so he was laying down on the couch... still asleep and unaware of the girl's absence.  Y/N sighed in relief as she moved over to the kitchen, quietly opening the fridge and pulling out (your choice of snack). She was carefully munching on her snack, heading back to the couch to see that Danny was gone!
