Comforting Now... Scaring Later

Danny's POV

Y/N told Danny everything... from the ghost 'kidnapping' to the kiss. They both blushed madly when she was explaining that part. But that was put to rest as Y/N laid her head on Danny's lap as he continued to play with her hair, whispering to her to reassure that she was safe until she had fallen asleep.

Danny looked down lovingly at Y/N, 'I really do love her... I just don't know how to explain to her that I'm part ghost. As soon as I tell her, she is sure to freak out and enemies might find out about her and try to take her away from me!' Danny took a deep breath as he realized that he was shaking with anger and clenching his fists. He pulled the sleeping girl even closer, if that was even possible. "Don't worry Y/N... I will take care of you and I promise I won't let anyone touch you...!" Danny whispered close to Y/N's ear. She stirred the slightest bit in response, making the cutest squeaking noises which made Danny chuckle and kiss her cheek. "I love you my little (cute nickname)!" he smiled down at her, even though she could not see it.

Danny spent an hour or so just staring lovingly at Y/N when suddenly the front door burst open!

"Y/N! We're home!" called a woman, who slightly resembled Y/N. 'That must be her parents!' Danny thought, quickly turning intangible as the two adults stepped inside carrying suitcases.

"Oh look sweetheart! Y/N fell asleep on the couch again! How silly of her!" her mom whispered to her husband.

"Wait! I thought today was Friday! Shouldn't she be at school right now!?" replied the frantic dad. The mother just chuckled,

"Honey, we've been away for a long time... almost a month! How are we to know what her school schedule is like?" they both laughed at this as they made their way up the stairs and probably to their room. Danny sighed irritated, 'So this is what you have to deal with huh?' He turned tangible again deciding to stay only a bit longer for Y/N's sake. Danny moved her hair out of the way and gently placed a single kiss on her forehead before whispering, "I'll be right back my love... I promise." He then proceeded to find a pen and paper to write a note as to where he had gone.

Finally he found some in the kitchen so he began to write his note,

Dear Y/N,

I'm sorry to have left you here alone while you were sleeping, but I am for certain that you are safe with your parents return. So I guess I will see you on Monday! Unless you would like to hang out another time this weekend, feel free to come by my house! I'm so glad that we are best friends!

He looked over the note again and again, 'Will she think it's weird that I put love Danny? Or will it be okay since we are best friends? Oh I hope she won't think I'm weird..! Or at least... that weird.. hehe! Oh well!' Danny thought, making his way back to the sleeping Y/N and cuddling her close one last time before carefully tucking the note into Y/N's arms and silently leaving.

Once he was outside a blue mist escaped from his mouth, alerting him that there were more ghosts nearby. 

"Damn it! And just when I was going to go relax!" Danny yelled in irritation. He then turned into his ghost form,

"But I promised I had to protect Y/N!" At that he was off to destroy the evil that threatened his dear Y/N.

Y/N's POV

*slight time skip (I feel like I've been using a lot of time skips lately XD)*

Y/N awoke after a while of her loud parents attempting to make a suitable dinner to surprise her.
