Chapter 4

"Orc"

Kyle's eyes widened as he said that, no more than a whisper. It came unexpectedly, but so naturally it left him confused and shocked. He was very positive he had not even that word, or seen such gruesome creature in his life. Yet why does it seem so familiar, like it was some forgotten memory as a child, or some instinctive feeling that it seems familiar. He wanted to shook his head, but he was to surprised, frightened and confused. His intuition has never been wrong before in his life, yet why does my intuition tells me that this is familiar, like déjà vu. When the orc was already reached half-way, Kyle got his senses, they need to get out as soon as possible. His hand gripping Luke's arm, he ran pulling Luke, who unfroze and started to ran beside him. Kyle tightened his grip, as he heard the monster decided to chase them. Which was very bad since the sun was already starting to set, they needed to escape him but how?

"Hey Luke! Any plans where to go?" Kyle asked as they ran past a corner.

"Anywhere but home! We don't need that thing coming near our home!"

Kyle gritted his teeth, knowing this was true because he doesn't want anybody getting involved and hurt. He chanced to look over his shoulder, and saw the orc still following them and getting closer by the second. It's disgusting face twisted into a snarl, making more appalling and hideous. It's eyes screaming blood lust and frustration, for us running away. 

Kyle bit his lips, and decided. "We're going to the park!"

Luke looked at him and nodded. "I do hope you know what you are doing!" , he said as he looked back.

Kyle ignored him, as they ran to the park, dodging fences, trash bins and going through corners. They needed to hurry since the moon is starting to show, as they were only meters away from the park's gate. Both boys looked behind them, and saw the orc very near them. So both redoubled their efforts and ran, ignoring the monstrous cry behind them. As they reached the park's clearing they stopped and looked behind them. Seeing that its prey stopped, it slowed and smirked. Both boys gulped and readied themselves as to what to come. They were surprised when the creature talked, his voice as awful and cruel as his face. "Aw.. These humans thinks they can fight me." and laughed amused.

"What do you want from us?" Luke asked, composed.

I really do admire that about him, Kyle thought, he is very good at controlling his emotions.

"You dead since you saw me, but now seeming how troublesome you humans are...I'll play with you first, then kill you slowly." The orc laughed cruelly and enthusiastically, as he unsheathed his four-feet sword from his back.

Their eyes widened at the sight of the sword, and clenched their jaw. He held his sword tightly, smirking in amusement. "Don't worry at least you'll die together."

Kyle followed his movement, still frightened and immediately his intuition acted up. "Duck!"

As he ducked, also Luke who followed him. They ducked and rolled  to opposite sides as a sharp sword past where their head was a second ago. The orc widened its eyes a little. "Oh! Not bad, but not good enough." It straightened and plunged where Luke was, with increased speed.

"Luke, dodge!" Kyle screamed as he got up, knowing he can't be there in time, still he ran.

Luke heard and urgently looked up, his eyes widened immensely and quickly tried to dodge. He dodge the slash, but not unharmed, a deep gash bleeding with blood at his left shoulder. He grimaced in pain and backed away, holding his injured shoulder. The orc laughed and tried to lunged at him, but missed  since Kyle pushed Luke out of the way. Luke fell about few feet away, supporting his shoulder, grimacing in pain. While Kyle stood up and prepared for another attack.

"So you want to die first ha!! Then die!!" The monster charged, sword thrusting and slashing in a quick manner.

Kyle widened his eyes, and his body immediately moved on its own, dodging every plow, slash and thrust headed to him.

What! Kyle thought as his body move instinctually in ways he never thought possible. Getting frustrated the orc charged and screamed with anger. At the last moment, Kyle suddenly jumped over it and kicked him at his back, hard.  The orc stumbled, and using this advantage Kyle ran and skidded, aiming to kick his legs. The orc grunted in pain and fell, its grip on its sword loosened skidding away from its hand. Kyle immediately ran and picked the sword, as the orc got up. Seeing its weapon being held by another, it screamed in rage, unsheathed its dagger from its hips and attacked aiming his head. Kyle immediately countered, and slashed him by the shoulder, making the orc scream. The orc then attacked endlessly with all its might and wrath, while its enemy countered everything with preciseness and accuracy that it scared himself. In the last thrust the creature attacked, Kyle attacked with a slash with more strength that made the dagger flew away. Now empty handed, the orc stood shocked, wide eyes watching the human move closer his hands clench the hilt, the tip of the sword aimed at its heart with frightening accuracy and precision, not doing anything from the shock. The sword passed through its chest with ease, blood spilled and sprayed, soaking Kyle's face and body, as he retrieved the sword implanted through the creature's still body. Kyle looked at the dead corpse and gasped, shocked that he did this and confuse to how.

He broke his thought when he heard his friend. "Kyle, Help."

Kyle immediately went to his injured friend and helped him out, supporting him by letting his friend's arm rest over his shoulder, him holding Luke up by placing his arm at his hips.

"What was that about, Kyle? When did you learn to fight like that?" Luke said as he looked him in the eyes, seriously.

Kyle was about to open his mouth to answer I don't know but immediately squeeze the hilt of the sword, that he still held. Since both were shocked at the new unknown voice that answered.

"I would like to now as well."
