{{Chapter Six}}

He ran down the empty hallway quickly, clutching my arm hard though it didn’t hurt. My skin was as tough as bricks, we tested it with knives, and they didn’t even leave a scratch surprisingly. Since then I’ve been pretty sure that I’m – we’re counting the boy in front of me – invincible.

The boy continued to drag me along the corridor to a closet that was near the cafeteria.  He opened the step door and walked in then pulled me in to before closing the door. It was dark before he switched the light on.

Though when he did my heart stopped, he was beautiful, anyone could see that. With my better than 20/20 eyesight though I noticed he hadn’t one imperfection on his face.

“You have to be careful idiot!” The boy snapped, bringing me out of my dazed sight. Way to make friends, dude, I’m sure everyone likes you . . .

“I’m not an idiot; I’m new at this okay!” I glare and he returns it.

“Obviously,” he muttered and rolled his bright eyes. They seemed brighter than mine, I wonder why? I was still confused on why I was in a closed environment with a boy that I just met, not only that but he was rude.

“So . . .” I said awkwardly, even though he was a total arse, I still needed answers and this guy – for some reason – seemed like he knew what he was talking about. I mean he did know when I was about to freak out.

“How did you become this . . . way?” I asked looking over his shoulder, I didn’t know if that question would be personal or not, but I really wanted to know. I wanted to know if he was injected, or he drank something . . .

“What do you mean?” He questions, a confused look on his face. “I was born like this.”

“You were born like this?” I nearly screamed.

If he was born this way . . . then what the heck am I?

“Uh, yeah,” he muttered. “We all were.”

“We? Who’s we?” I questioned him.

“You know, the glowing blue eyes, we’re faster and can hear better, and we hear better than regular humans.” He explained looking at me like I was stupid, I could feel his feelings as he looked at me, he didn’t not like me but he didn’t like me either. His thoughts were similar because he thought that I was going to expose his family and friends.

“I wasn’t born like this though, are you sure you were born like this?” I asked him incredulously. How did I get like this if they, whoever they were, were actually born like this?

“What? No, no, no, that’s not even possible,” he muttered to himself before walking out of the closet leaving me alone.

Did I just make a mistake by telling him that?

By the time I actually found my way back to my homeroom the bell rung, making my throw my hands up in the air angrily.  That boy couldn’t even return me, he just up and left, leaving me feeling confused and stupid.

Another thing that I noticed that he didn’t even tell me his name, while I know he knows mine, so that leave mystery boy one and me none. He was strange though and how he reacted when I told him I was made this way left me wondering if there was something wrong with me. My powers – though were almost out of control this morning – had always been calm and collected.

My classes were the same through the day, Gina constantly glaring at me and trying to embarrass me during the introduction. I wasn’t paying attention though, to anyone really. Once they saw my eyes most of them looked away, a scared look taking up their features. I don’t know what they expected me to do, it was as if they thought I was going to kill them.
