I got to the funeral at 2:30. The wind and sun against my back felt crisp.

While I waited for the funeral to begin, I wrote another note:

Dear Josh,

Today I'll sit painfully through your funeral. It'll be so hard to watch you be placed in that casket. It was almost as if when you were placed in the ground, it took my life with it. I shut out to the world. I am not dating anyone, nor will I do so soon. The funeral starts in three minutes. I miss you Josh.

-Alexis Rae-Lynn

The funeral began a few minutes after I finished that note. "Hey," said a voice coming from my right. I looked over and saw Karen sitting next to me. "Hi," I said quietly, in a weak voice. I was  weak. So terribly weak. This hurt. This guy was going to pay, if it was him. We still didn't know. The sun still felt crisp against my back. No body knew that I wasn't okay. Except a few people. Everybody thought I was over it by now. This only happened six weeks ago. Of course I wasn't okay!

Josh's ex-girlfriend, Jessica, was there. She was all skin and bone. Why was she here? Who told her. Josh had always talked about her like she was dog poo. She had a short bob of blonde hair and wore and indigo dress. I can totally see why he dissed her like he didn't miss her. She actually cried. I understand Josh dumped her, but that was because she treated him like utter trash and was just using him. She left about fifteen minutes into the funeral. She smirked at me. What was that supposed to mean?

As soon as the funeral was over, I walked over to Josh's new gravestone. I waited until everyone was gone and then I left the first note there. But I quickly grabbed a rock and placed it on the note. I lived about five minutes from the church so I could juts drop it off on my way home from my daily errands.

As soon as I got home, I collapsed on my swivel chair in front of the television. I woke up at about six o'clock. My phone vibrated.

It was Jessica.

He was mine first, you'll pay.

Jessica was going to bring me down.
