Me and Alex scheduled our trip to Fiji the next day. I purchased both of our plane tickets. He called me at 11:00. "Hey, babe," he said in his casual voice, "I just took $1,000 out of my bank account for the trip. How's it going?" I smiled. I loved talking to him. "Well, I got $2,000 for the trip, finished packing. How about you?" "Ha, just finished packing. Can't wait!" Yup, same old same old. "Hey, wanna sit up in the cherry blossom tree? If not, you still have to because I hired a photographer to get a beautiful back silhouette of us two." "Of course." "Well, I'll see ya there," he said and then hung up. He hung up before I could tell him what time to be there. Typical Alex. So of course I sent him a text telling him to meet me there in 10 minutes. Of course <3. He is something, don't you agree?
When I got to the tree, he was already there. I was wearing my aqua sundress, and my hair was pulled over my one shoulder. He walked up to me and said, "I am in love with this tree. It is so beautiful. That branch is huge and easy to get to. I want to live here." I smiled. He knew exactly what I wanted. "Same," I said in my gingery tone.
I liked someone. I liked Alex.
