The next morning I woke up and immediately checked my phone. Alex had texted my 10 minutes ago. "Can't wait:)" it read. I, having the fan fangirling problem I have, replied, "Same here. See ya. :)" I got up out of bed right after. I took a quick shower. Toweled off and quickly rushed to my closet in search for a cute outfit. I decided on a salmon colored sweater and my leggings. Make-up like I usually do it, hair in the perfect messy bun. I dyed my hair ginger a few days earlier. I pulled it off. I was ready. I clicked on my phone and checked the time. 9:02. Well, I had to get going cause I was going to meet him at Coffee Central at 9:15.
As I pulled up, I noticed Alex causally leaning against the wall waiting. I snuck up on him and yelled, "RAPTOR ATTACK!" He screamed like a little girl and turned around. He put a hand on his chest and said, "Oh geez. You scared me!" He smiled. "Sorry, haha. Let's go inside to get our coffee," I said. His smile meant more than anything to me now. Wait, not entirely true. The thing that meant the world to me was Josh. I had been slowly learning that I need to move on. But I couldn't. He was the only person who understood me. I was slowly, but surely, moving on. No matter how many relationships I have, I will never forget Josh.
We got our coffee and sat down in the far back, the exact same spot me and Josh had our first offical date. It was really similar to our date too. We shared a lot of laughs, discussed embarrassing times we had, and then something happened that I shocked me.
"Can I ask you something?" he said out of the blue. "Of course," I said, causally. That's thing about me: I like to keep it casual. He took a deep breath. "Will you go out with me?" he said with a nervous look on his face.
This would be the most difficult thing I'd ever have to do.
