Haleigh gave a sigh, climbing out of bed in a giant blue t-shirt with the Captain America emblem on it. She hadn't even realized she owned it let alone she was wearing it as she answered the door, tousling her hair. "It's six in the morning, Steve." She groaned.
"I know but- What are you wearing?" He cocked a brow, noticing the t-shirt only reached mid-thigh. Blinking, he raised his gaze and shook his head. "Seriously?"
She looked down, a sly grin slipping across her lips. "What? This was before I became an Avenger. Can't I have my own piece of the fandom?"
He rolled his eyes, attempting to ignore how he felt seeing her in a shirt emblazoned with his symbol. "You sleep in it?"
"Sometimes. I don't usually wear clothes when I sleep. But I was a tad chilly last night." Her grin widened, seeing Steve flush brilliantly at the thought. "What is it you wanted so early, Steve?"
"O-oh, right!" He shook his head. "We've been assigned our first mission together and have to leave tonight to be there in time for tomorrow."
"And I have to be awake now because?" She cocked a brow.
"Do you have a flowy knee-ish length skirt and heels?" He asked curiously.
"Yes... Why?" She eyed him warily.
He grinned brightly. "It's a 40s inspired dance. How fast can you learn how to dance?" He teased.
"Faster than I learned how to fight." She laughed a bit, amused with how excited he was.
"Perfect. We've got a good portion of the day. Get changed and meet me in the gym." As he turned to leave, he sucked in a breath as she said softly, "Aye, aye Captain."

A few hours later, Steve inhaled Haleigh's scent as he pulled her back to his chest before twirling back out at the end of a song. No surprise to him, she had picked up three out of four dances within a handful of hours. Music from his time period echoed through the gym. He smiled at her. "You're very adept at dancing." He commented, releasing her hand to shut off the stereo system.
"You're not so bad yourself." Haleigh grinned, catching the bottle of water he threw at her. "Although, shouldn't be a surprise, considering the style."
"Yeah, well, people didn't use to think that about me. Plus, it helps to look like I know what I'm doing when you have a good partner."
She laughed. "Partially true. I had to learn a bunch of routines for a musical I was in once. Learned it was easy to pick up on things with constant repetitive motions."
"Duly noted.." He mused. "Our luggage will be mostly packed for us. Should only be gone one full day and until morning of the next. Including your outfit to the party."
"Fun. Costumes was always my favorite part." She stated before drinking from the bottle.
Steve cleared his throat, looking away from her. "Right. Well, the goal at this one is to find out who the leader of this sector is. And if the opportunity arises, to try and get any information we can about any upcoming attacks."
"Sounds well enough. Potential threats?"
"The place is swarming with guards blocking every room, we've been told. Most likely with combat training and guns."
She nodded. "I assumed as much. Hey quick question, what if they're not all 40s themed dances? You do know how to waltz and stuff right?" She asked curiously.
"Well, I didn't do much dancing back in the day but I've seen a lot of it. The concept doesn't look entirely hard." He admitted.
"Why don't you go see if we can get a hold of some slower songs and I'll teach you? Just in case."
