There was a soft click of the door opening and closing and Haleigh glanced up as she rolled her blouse over her frame. She called into the quiet air. "Hey, babe, that was a fast debriefing. I expected it to last until at least noon."

When she was greeted with silence, she opened the door further ajar only to pale quicker than rainfall. "How the hell did you get in here?" She growled, going on the defensive.

"Is that anyway to treat an old friend, prinzessin?" The one man she never wanted to see again, at least alone, purred from in front of her. He took a step forward forcing Haleigh back into her shared bedroom.

"You're no friend of mine!" She spat. "Although, stick around for a bit and I'm sure you can meet one of my very dear friends."

"Oh, you mean Captain America? Won't happen. You see, your people aren't the only ones good with computers. And I've made sure they won't even know what's happened until we're long gone."

"I'm not going anywhere with you. Jarvis!" She demanded the AI listen to her which only caused the man to laugh.

"He's otherwise unable to attend our party, my dear." He mused, pulling a needle from his pocket. He smirked as the look on Haleigh's face darkened. "I think it's time for you to sleep."

"You'll have to kill me first." She glared as he lunged for her. She rolled backwards over the top of the mattress, tossing the sheets and comforter over him.

The doctor attempted to untangle himself as Haleigh kicked him towards the wall, knocking the pictures that hung upon it onto the floor. Glass shattered at his feet. He ripped himself loose from the temporary binding and attacked her again. In the process, he bumped the small entertainment center, knocking the TV off the stand.

The loud crash caused Haleigh to jump a bit as she tried to counter the doctor once more. Her phone fell from her hands, a call left unmade on the screen. She gripped his wrist of the hand holding the needle as she tried to push him back.

What she didn't expect was the second needle the man was hiding. He dug it from his pocket in a brief chance of breaking his other hand free from her grasp. He jammed it into her stomach, causing her to falter backwards into the night stand.

She fell forward, nightstand going with her as she lost all feeling in her limbs, a sensation she dreaded every day. She glared up at him as he crouched in front of her.

"For old times sake, got anything you wanna say before this one sinks in?" He smirked, sinking the other needle deep into her forearm.

She started to feel drowsy, unable to move away from him due to the first injection. "Grant Steven will come for me."

The doctor cackled. "And I'll be waiting." He mused, watching as she drifted to sleep. He lifted her over his shoulder and left Steve's apartment with her in tow.

Steve sat in silence in his seat in the Jeep. Against his preference, they chose to drive in order to sneak their way onto the small compound where Haleigh was being held. The drive was only an hour or so. The whole way there, the only communication between vehicles was confirming directions and the plan on how to handle the situation.

They could see from the maps Jarvis provided that it was a small barn surrounded by men with guns, presumably HYDRA agents. They had decided to fight their way through, as normal. Steve demanded to be the first in the building. He was not about to let Haleigh down again. Not now. Not after what he had said to her last.
