"Are you planning to coddle me all night, babe?" Haleigh mused after watching Steve step in front of her as someone tried to walk past them.

"Don't think of it as me coddling you. I'm coddling the baby." Steve grinned as he turned to face her.

"Steve, I'm not even showing. Two months. Can you at least wait to act like that until I'm showing?"

He wrapped his arms around her waist, chuckling. "Well I can't promise that. Let's compromise and say it's based on situation?"

"Fine, but people walking past me when they're already three feet away is a little excessive." She teased, tapping his nose.

"Alright, alright. I'll give ya that." He grinned, kissing her forehead.

"So what'd Pepper say to ya earlier?" She asked curiously.

"Oh, she was letting me know that everything is set up for us upstairs."

Haleigh cocked a brow. "What do you mean?"

He just gave a cocky smirk. "You'll see. Let's give Tony a few more hours to celebrate drunkenly about this." He rested a hand on her stomach. "Then I have a private celebration planned for just you and me."

"You know I can't handle anything too fancy or crazy, right?" She scrunched up her nose.

"I know, doll. Don't worry. I've got it under control."

Steve guided Haleigh up the stairs to the observatory, finally managing to get away from the ever clingy Tony. He held her hand tight, laughing a bit. "Not tired yet, are you?"

"More curious about what's up your sleeve, Captain." She mused.

"Well.. I wanted to spend some time as just us. So.." He grinned, opening the door to the observatory.

With Pepper's help, the two had seen to the area littered with candle light. Jarvis had the windows look like a much more brilliant version of the night sky than New York City could offer. Soft jazz music hummed through the observatory.

Haleigh cocked a curious brow. "Color me impressed. We already had our private celebration remember?" She teased, running her fingers over his chest.

He chuckled softly, grasping her hand as he pulled her into a soft sway in the middle of the room. "I know but I still want every opportunity to get you alone."

She grinned up at him. "I'll give you that one.. Should I be expecting a love-filled speech followed by you on one knee with a sappy proposal as well?"

He smirked. "I'd say yes but we both know I'm not entirely great at anything sappy. More of the bashful, beat around the bush kind of guy."

She giggled softly. "Now that is so true."

"Hey now, that doesn't mean I don't have any tricks up my sleeve." He mused, twirling her. "Although I will admit that in this case I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing."

"Then we leave it up to timing, eh?" She mused. "This place does look quite neat. I'm loving the stars."

"They're programmed to show different scenes of the night sky. Speaking of which." He smiled as the view changed to the Northern Lights. He watched Haleigh's face light up just a bit.

"Oh wow that's so cool."

"I remember you once told me that your obsession with the night sky could only go so far because our eyes are only able to see so much due to darkness. You said you wished you could see the beauties beyond our mind's eye could ascertain." He said gently, turning her so her back rested against his chest.
