"Are you seriously going to make me sit here and do target practice, Rogers?" Haleigh glared from beneath her lashes.

"Yes. You still shouldn't be running around doing tumbles yet. You were only approved for light training and we were told to keep it as anti-physical as possible." Steve rolled his eyes.

"So what the hell am I supposed to do?"

"You're going to sit, I'm going to throw, you're going to electrocute." He grinned.

"I'm going to wring your neck, Rogers. This is stupid and you know it."

"If you wring my neck, you lose your peaceful nights." An ornery glint sparkled in his eyes.

"Two weeks. It took two weeks after our last argument to get you to finally join me every night and to stop wasting time. Which is exactly what this is. A waste of time."

"It isn't a waste. It keeps your powers fit and under your control. Now that you can walk on your own, within reason, they're wanting to put me back out on missions until you've recovered enough to join me again. I need to know you'll be safe here just in case."

"Just in case what? Someone storms into the tower, manages to find the room I'm not even staying in and kidnaps me?" She cocked a brow.

"That isn't funny, but yes. We haven't caught that doctor yet that did this to you in the first place. Now come on. You need to practice, this is all you were approved for." He sighed a bit, readying the targets to toss around.

"Fine, whatever, but I better be getting something out of this. This is the stupidest shit you've ever come up with."

"Yeah, yeah, let's just do this, okay?" He shook his head a bit, tossing the first of several targets into the air.

"Hey Tony." Haleigh grinned, pulling herself up on the counter next to where Tony was currently typing away at.

"Whatcha doin' here, kid?" He asked, glancing at her with his telltale smirk.

"Avoiding Steve. Did you see the ridiculous practice he made me do this week?"

"I did.. You hit every target though. Pretty good considering what happened to you. Is that why you're here?"

"He's still treating me like in invalid, so yes. I called Fury and begged him to find something to entertain him with. He's driving me nuts. Banner released me to walk and do things on my own. But apparently, that's not good enough." She sighed.

"Capsicle just really likes you and he's beating himself up over not being there when you needed him. Maybe you should cut him some slack."

"I get it, but it's still annoying. He even tucks me into bed still." She groaned a bit. "What am I? Five?"

"No, you're twenty-seven. But I'm not kidding when I say he likes you, pumpkin. Like like likes you."

"I've been living with him for several weeks. That isn't news to me. After all I wake up next to him every morning. He can't really hide his morning problems when his back is pressed against me. Besides we're practically dating without the actual dating part." She shrugged. "He's too shy to say anything so whatever."

"Want me to talk to him?" He cocked a brow noticing the Captain himself was walking into Tony's lab.

"Talk to who?" Steve asked curiously, eyes falling to Haleigh. "There you are."

"Damn." She sighed.

"Ohp, better watch your language, kid." Tony jabbed for Steve's sake.

Steve scoffed. "What're you doing here?"
