Two months. Two months had passed since Haleigh moved into Stark Tower. She had learned a lot in such a short time. Steve had been right about her. She was a quick learner. Her skills in fighting only improved. She controlled her power with ease. She had even learned how quickly she needed to become with words to quip with the male members of the Avengers. They had rather smart mouths and she could send them packing with their tails between their legs. Yet at the same time she could gossip and hold her own against the two women Avengers and female agents that perused around them.

Rumors were flying quickly about the latest female recruit to the team. Between how she acted, dressed, hung out with, and possibly had a thing for, Haleigh was typically the hot topic. The men adored her but were too afraid to say anything given her friendship with Steve. She generally ignored them all, not bothering with cattiness and ridiculous attempts at flirting. She chose to focus on her training with Steve and it had paid off.

Today was hopefully going to be a rather good day for her. She was going to be testing out of training and into active duty. If she passed, she would be an official member of the Avengers and begin missions. Presently, she was stretching in her matching black sports bra and yoga capris. She wasn't a fool. She knew that everyone's eyes were on her. The men because of what she was wearing, the women for curiosity's sake. They were sizing her up, amused with whom Nick Fury had chosen as her partner.

Steve Rogers, the tallest and largest of them all walks into the room in his usual garb of workout pants and tight t-shirt. He gaped a bit, still not use to seeing any woman, let alone her, wearing something "so revealing" as he put it. He shook his head in attempts to ignore the thoughts creeping to his mind, rolling his shoulders a bit.

"So this tiny woman has to take on Capsicle?" Tony laughed. "And they can't go easy on one another? Do you even want her stay, Fury?"

"Of course." Fury nodded with a slight shrug. "I believe she can do it."

"This should be entertaining to watch." Pietro's thick accent rolled off his tongue as he watched her.

Natasha rolled her eyes. "Seriously? Down boy."

"Hey, Capsicle, if she kicks your ass, I'm throwing her a party!" Tony grinned at the rolled eyes he received from the captain.

"Leave him alone, Tony." Haleigh shook her head in annoyance.

"Oo! Let the woman speak for ya now, Steve?"

"Enough." Fury glared. "Are you two ready?" At Haleigh and Steve's nod, he continued, "First one pinned to the mat for longer than 10 seconds wins. Anything goes except killing each other, even on accident. What a waste of money and time that would be. Go!"

Steve watched Haleigh, curious of her first move. He must admit, watching her fight was something he enjoyed, especially when he could see what she was processing on doing next. However this time was different. He couldn't read her at all. He hadn't given himself enough time to react and almost ended up with a stiff jaw.

Haleigh, focused on the prize, read Steve like an open book, throwing him for a loop time and time again. When she finally managed a jab into his stomach, she sent a pulse of current causing Steve to spasm. She took the small opportunity to swipe his feet from him. Such a large man falling to the mat rumbled the gym, gaining winces from everyone that had gathered to watch. She pinned Steve beneath her grinning slightly. "Pinned ya." She mused, kissing his nose playfully.

Steve blushed a bit, raising his knees under her. "Not for long, doll." He mused, watching as she flipped backwards off of him.

Fists raised, she smirked. "Oh, don't worry. I'll be gentle." She purred.
