Even after you knew
That I loved you
Wanted you
Needed even
Still you chose her
She didnt know all the things I did
How to make you laugh
How to chase away your pain
No!
Only I knew that
Still it was her and not me
Why?
All i wanted was to be
Everyday of the rest of your life
But you didnt want me
You wanted the one who didnt want you
So i tried to forget you
Erased you from my mind
But try as I might
I couldnt remove you from my heart
My traitorous heart
Betraying my true feelings
Because I couldn't control
The way seeing you would
Make it leap from my chest
Hearing your voice mad it flutter
And having you near made it beat steady like a drum
And still a part of me hopes
In vain, that a time will come
When it will be me
That makes your heart beat faster.....
