Who I am

I am a woman

I watch you as you note the curve of my hips

See you lose yourself in the

depth of my eyes

I watch you take in the fullness of my lips

You are attracted to the physical

but wait

when I open my mouth

and my sweet poetic flow comes out

I know you are hooked

my words wrap around you

caressing your brain

I am more than what you see

I am a poet

I string words together so beautifully

that they paint a picture

so vividly

flow from the lips so melodically

I love the feel of the pencil in my hand

In a dance with the paper

and the product is something

so powerful

so passionate

so awe inspiring

that it stuns even me

I am human

Yes I am flawed

I make mistakes

I love the same as you

I too feel pain,

We are really no different

So please don't ostracize me

for embracing all the things that

make me

who I am
