You got too deep inside my head
And stripped my defenses away
My rose colored glasses distorted my view
I wasn't thinking clearly
and I couldn't see the real you
You told me the lies I wanted to hear
and I let you control me
for almost a year
Now I sit here alone and I think to myself
I lost myself to become yours
and I don't know why
I let you rip me apart and I
didn't bat an eye
I handed you the knife
that you stabbed in my back
Yet, I was unprepared for your brutal attack
I just couldn't leave you
and I don't know why
I couldn't break free
I didn't even try
You destroyed me and I loved you
