A/N;

Go back and reread the last chapter. I did some editing and I think it's better then the first. If you are on mobile delete the story then add it again.

"Hello there," Drew was leaning against the willow on the opposite side of me. My eye slowly lifted open to see his blue ones looking down at me, I smiled and sat up.

"How you feeling today?" I asked as he came and sat by the willow with me, pulling me into his lap.

"It's like a horrible hang over," I elbowed him in the side but couldn't help but laugh.

"Honestly, I wouldn't know," I giggled.

"That is a good thing," he winked, making another giggle escape my lips.

We sat in silence together for a few minutes while the May sun rose to the highest point in the sky, beaming down on us like a watchful eye. Drew hummed softly to himself, probably a song he wrote. I smiled let the warm sun shine down on my face while listening to his song.

"You want to know something?" Drew suddenly asked, breaking the peacful silence.

"Sure," I looked up at him.

"I love you."

My breathe caught in my throat for a second then released just as fast.

"I love you too," I smiled knowing that I truly meant it.

***About Four Years Later***

Mom and my father both hovered in the doorway, a few feet apart of course. Dad held one of my last boxes in his arms while I packed a few more things in a smaller box.

"Drew is here," Mitch called from the other room.

"Well, com'on then dad. We need to get down to the truck!" I said excitedly as I pushed in between my two parents.

"This is the last load, right?" Dad grumbled as we walked downstairs, the elevator still out of order even after the years it's been broken. After everything was packed into the truck, I hugged both my parents then stood in front of Mitch.

"Thank you, for everthing," I smiled up at him.

"We have to look out for each other," he pulled me into a hug and playfully rocked my back and forth.

"Goodbye."

"Not goodbye, cause you'll be visiting as much as you can."

I laughed as I climbed into the truck beside Drew, waving at my broken, but happy family. Drew grabbed my hand and smiled as he pulled out of the parking lot.

"You really think we can pull this off?" he asked at the first red light.

"Our own apartment, going to college and juggling work?" I laughed. "It'll be a breeze."

"So you did get the job at that cafe?" he asked, sounding surprised.

"Yes!" I bounced in my seat happily.

Drew's parents were already at the new  apartment waiting for us. Rick Turnner smiled at me as I jumped for the truck. He was back in good health again, you would never have guessed he was in a car accident unless you looked for the scars.

"Last load?" Tyler sighed.

"Yup," Drew said as he closed his door.

"Good," Mrs. Turnner groaned. She stretched out her bones, which probably felt more like lead.

We pulled the boxes out of the truck and into the new first floor apartment, in walking distance to our college. The apartment had a small kitchen connected to the living room, one bed room and one bathroom. It was perfect size for Drew and me. Soon all the boxes were piled into the rooms they belonged in.

"We will leave you guys to unpack your thing," Julie Turnner hugged both of us and wished us luck then lead her family out to the parking lot.

Drew and I didn't talk much as we shifted through the boxes in the kitchen, putting away dishes that we found in the Turnner's basement. Once the very little we had for the kitchen was away we moved to the living room. There wasn't much there either, an old couch from the farmhouse, the T.V that was once in Drew's room and a few ornaments from my bedroom in my dad's house.

Once we had the bedroom put away, which was mostly just clothes, and the bathroom organized, we sat on the couch.

"Maybe we are in over our heads," I sighed, taking it all in. It was not my apartment, it was ours. I was no longer in the comfort of my brother's shadow but I was making my own.

"At least if we fail miserably, we did it together," Drew laughed.

"I think that is my favorite part, sharing this with you, our apartment."

"Do you know one thing we don't share?"

"What?" I asked as I looked up at him.

"Last names," Drew opened his hand to reveal a simple band ring. "Will you take mine?"

"Of course!" I shrieked as I flung myself into his arms. He put the ring on my finger and beamed down at me.

"Cassandra Turnner," Drew tested my name with his.

"It's perfect."
