Daku walked up to door of the throne room and asked a guard to announce her and ask if the Queen would receive her. The guard came back not two minutes later and told Daku to go inside. Daku walked into the throne room and bowed.
"My queen, I have a report about Asnoth." Daku said gravely.
"Rise general and tell me your report." The Queen replied formally.
"As you already know your highness, Asnoth was burned by nargs in the past and we took measures and added a watch tower."
"Yes general Daku I know. In fact I was going to ask why we didn't hear from them before this tragedy occurred." The Queen said in a coolness that unsettled Daku.
"And that actually brings us to the second part of my report..." Daku said hesitantly
"The reason we didn't hear from them is they were killed by a piksa party."
The Queen sat up straight and looked Daku in the eyes and asked,
"What are doing about it general?"
"We are sending twice the men to the watchtower and sending a pair of scouts to check in every half hour. Hopefully it was a one time thing and will never happen again,though it shouldn't have happened in the first place." Daku replied.
"I agree general,with your actions, and on the matter that it shouldn't have happened."
"I'm glad your majesty." Daku bowed.
"Daku I know how you feel about piksas. Do not let your emotions run away with your judgement." The Queen said in a motherly way.
"I won't your highness." Daku promised.
"Good,you are dismissed."
The Queen inclined her head toward Daku showing acknowledging and respect.
Daku bowed and left that throne room.
"That could have been worst" Daku thought.
