Thank you, @TheGlowingToilet and one of my friends, for the names of the foxes!

You were in your room, petting the soft kit.  Her eyes had just begun to open, showing off a beauteous midnight blue color.  The ginger male had forest green eyes.  You both had also figured out names for them. Your black fox would be Dusk, Aaron's ginger fox was Apollo.

Dusk nipped at your fingers, making you chuckle before a knock was heard at your door. As you got up to open it, you mentally prayed it wasn't Lance. Thankfully, it was Clay.

"Hey, (Y/N)," he said, holding out a (F/C) rose. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out at six or six-thirty tonight."

You gave him a confused look. "Like a date or just a hangout?"

He shrugged. "Whatever you want to call it."

"Well, a nice hangout sounds nice. That's really sweet of you, Clay," you thank, making him blush.

"N-no problem, (Y/N)."  With that, he left, making you remember you didn't have very much to wear.  At least, nothing fancy.

It might not be a date, but you still cared about your clothes.  So, you went to Macy and Aaron.

Time Skip to Shopping~

As Macy was looking through some dresses that you might like, Aaron and you were talking.

"Just remember, sis," he lectures, "if he tries anything, you tell me.  Alright?"

You sigh, nodding.  "Yes, Aaron.  But he's a knight.  Aren't knights supposed to be all about justice and honor?"  You hear no reply.  "That's what I thought."

Just as Aaron was about to say something else, Macy comes over to you with a stunning (F/C) dress that was short in the front and long in the back.  Kind of like a sundress.

"There.  I think that color suits you," she compliments before dragging you to a dressing room.

As you change into the dress, you can't help but feel beautiful.  After what happened in the orphanage all those years ago, you've never wore a dress.  Why?  Everyone would tell you that you tried to hard to be something you were not.  It pained you.  Caused you to be fearful of a lot.  But right now, those memories left as you looked in the mirror.  After a minute, you walk back out to show your friend and brother.

Aaron's green eyes landed on you, smiling lightly.  "(Y/N), you look stunning!  Are you sure you haven't been on a date before?"

You shook your head as Macy nods her head approvingly.  "I told you the color would look good on you!"

So, it was decided that the dress was meant for you.  Along with a necklace of a fox head to represent your crest.

Time Skip to Hangout with Clay~

Clay had taken you out to a somewhat fancy restaurant. He wore a dress shirt that was blue and he even brought his shield and sword. He said it was just for in case a monster came, but you thought he was protecting you.

The waiter came over, eyeing you up and down. You looked at the menu, trying to ignore the looks.

"My name is Trix Taylor, and I'll be your waiter this evening. What can I get you?"

That name sounded familiar to you. Wait, Aaron said this guy was his opponent in the joust games! Still, Aaron beat this guy, so you snickered lightly.

"I'll have a (F/F) milkshake and some French fries," you order. Clay ordered the same as you.

With that, it was awkward silence.

"So," you hear Clay start, "I'm sort of, new to this whole going out with girls thing."

"As I am with guys!" you laugh, making Clay snicker too.

That seemed to work up some conversation until Trix came with the food. "Here you are, two milkshakes and two fries. Anything else I can get for you today?"

You stop him from leaving. "Weren't you a contestant in this years joust games against Aaron Fox?"

Trix glared lightly at you. "Yes, and I lost. Your point?"

You smirk at him. "Well, it's nothing. Just that I saw you eyeing me, and I thought that if you knew I was related to Aaron, you'd leave me be."

That made the boy very mad, as he stormed off without another word.

Clay looked at you stunned. "How did you-"

"I'm good at studying people. The way they get nervous, upset, angered. I'm proud of the skill," you explain.

Then, the rest of the night, you just talked and talked and talked. Let's just say, you never really shut up at all.

Time Skip~

As you were walking back to the Fortrex, you blushed. Clay was twirling you around every now and then. It was fun for the both of you, but you soon began to feel something. You liked him. More than a friend.

When you were almost back, you tripped, resulting in Clay catching you as if he just dipped you.

"Oh, s-sorry. I guess I'm a bit unbalanced."

"It's fine, (Y/N)."

He looked at you, you looked at him. Then, you started to lean closer. Closer.

Until you realized what was happening. You brushed yourself off, apologizing to Clay as you hurried back inside to your room.

You shut your door, changing before trying to fall asleep, not knowing of one knight's plan that night.
