Love is Hard Clay X Reader

Pain

It has been three months into the pregnancy.  Your stomach now had a somewhat medium bump, mainly because you ate a lot of ice cream.  Clay told you to eat other things, but you were being a bitch.  He didn't know what it was like having a baby inside of you! 

You sat in the downtime room, waiting for everyone to get done training.  As you waited, you began to doze off.  But you never truly slept.  The door opened, making you open your eyes.

There stood Lance, an angered look on his face.

"How fucking dare you tell them I raped you.  I know I said I'd make you have my child, but I learned that nothing pained a to-be-mother more than to hurt something inside them."

Your eyes widened with fear.  You stood up, backing as far away from him as possible.  "CLAY!  AARON!" you scream at the top of your lungs.

You noticed Lance's armor was glowing, representing he had a power up.  He pulled out his lance, aiming it at your belly.  Just as it was about to touch you, Clay came through the the door.  He pulled out his claymore sword, coming between you and the blonde maniac.  His sword hit the bottom of the lance.

"You touch her again, and Aaron and I will rip you to pieces."

You whimper, pushing your head into Clay's back.  Lance laughed as you did that.

"You see, Borington," Lance said, "I don't want a kid, and you probably want your own genes in a kid, so I'll just hit the top of my lance onto her stomach and we go our own separate ways."

Clay growled.  "Over my dead body."

Lance chuckled again.  "Well, I wasn't really asking for your permission."

You felt the light hit your face as Clay was thrown to the other wall, hitting his back on a chair.  You heard him groan in response.  Then, you felt a burning sensation on your stomach.  As you looked down, you opened your mouth to scream, but no sound came.  Lance's lance was touching directly on your swollen belly where the ovaries are. 

You heard running at the door, but you didn't care.  After another minute, Lance pulled away, allowing you to lean back against the wall.  As you looked to your legs, you saw blood dripping down them.  You collapsed on you knees, tears streaming down your face as sounds come back to you.

Clay sits beside you, pulling you closer to him.  You saw Aaron and Macy run out of the room to find Lance.  Axl soon follows them, leaving you and Clay alone. 

"Clay," you say in a whisper.

He rubs your shoulder.  "Yeah."

"Is it bad that I feel dead inside?  I feel like I just lost something so precious.  So innocent.  Why would he kill it?!"

As more tears come, you turn to the blue knight.  He takes off his helmet as tears begin to fall down his face, too.  Soon, he begins to sob, pulling you into a hug.  "I don't know, (Y/N).  I'm sorry.  I'm sorry I couldn't stop him."

You both sob for what feels like hours.  As you pull away, you stand up, wincing in pain.  "I need to go to the hospital.  I need to make sure I'm still okay."

Clay picks you up bridal style, carrying you to his vehicle.

Time Skip to Moment of Truth~

As the doctor comes in, you wipe away any remaining tears.  Clay holds your hand.  He hasn't stopped since you got there.

"Miss (Y/N) Fox.  I hear there has been some tragedy.  If you may," she gestures to your still covered stomach. 

You lift it up, closing your eyes as you felt her hands gently touch the sides.  Then, she puts the gel on your belly to get the projection on the screen.

She sighs with grief.  "I'm afraid to say this, but the fetus has been ruptured.  You lost your child.  But, in another month or so, your new eggs will come.  As for the burn, I've never seen one quite like it.  Just ice it for a week.  It should also help with the swelling of the stomach.  Again, I'm very sorry, my dear."

She walked out of the room, leaving you and Clay alone.  He kisses your hand, still rubbing it.

After the nurse lets you leave, you get to the vehicle before be breaking down in the parking lot.  Clay cries, too, holding you close.

Time Skip~

You were sitting in the downtime room, ice on your stomach.  Aaron and Macy came back a bit later, saying Lance was at the police station.  Clay told them what happened at the doctor's office so you didn't have to.

Aaron kissed your head as the fox kits came in the room.  Dusk pawed at you hand.  Apollo jumped on her, making her yelp.  She got back up, though.  That gave you a moral.

When life knocks you down, you get back up stronger and smarter.
