Jade's P.O.V.~

Dream~

It was a sunny day as I walked down a street with my parents and my uncle, smiling with enjoyment.  I grab my necklace, an eagle to represent my dad's crest.  Then, it suddenly darkened.  Clouds overtook the landscape, people scattered for shelter, and my family disappeared.

I was alone.

Until a man in silver armor with a horse crest came up to me.  His icy blue eyes made fear run down my back.  He took of his helmet to reveal blonde hair swayed to the left of his face.

"Hello, Jade.  I'm Lance Richmond.  I'm here to help you."

Lance Richmond.  Where have I heard that name before?  I moved away from him, hoping someone would be there.  No one was.

"Wait.  Do you know where (Y/N), your mother, is?  I have something to tell her."  He gave me a sad glance.

I shook my head, turning away.  A hand gripped my arm, making me turn to face him.  His sad look was replaced by that of insanity.

"I'm sure if I take you away, (Y/N) will do anything to get you back.  She'll be mine."  He pulled you towards him, making you thrash and scream.

I heard a young girl scream, and I run to Jade's room.  She may be my niece, but she reminds me of (Y/N) after that bastard hurt her.  When I walked in, I saw the poor girl sitting with her hands over her eyes, shaking hard.

"You alright, Jade?"

She looked up at me, wiping her tears away.  "No."

I sit beside her, pulling her into a hug.  "What happened in your dream?"

She takes a shaky breath.  "We were walking: me, Mommy, Daddy, and you.  Then you left me alone and this man came up to me.  He scared me, Uncle.  He grabbed me."

"Did he give you a name?" I ask, even though I already know who it is haunting Jade's dreams.

"Rance Lichmond.  No, Lance Richmond, I think he said."

I growl, looking down at the girl.

"Jade, I'm going to tell you a scary story, so if you want, you can sleep with me tonight, okay?"

She nods.

"Well, a long time ago, there was another knight living with us.  His name was Lance and he slept in this room, right across from Clay and beside mine.  Lance was a jerk, though.  When (Y/N) came to live with us, he forced her to do something she didn't want to do.  He almost made her have a baby before you.  He hurt that baby, and he went to prison."

Jade whimpered.  "I don't like this story, Uncle Aaron."

I sigh.  "Lance got away, hurt me in a way only my parents could.  Leaving me alone to do nothing.  Your mother stood up to him with my girlfriend and your father.  But I want to warn you, Jade.  If someone acts out of the ordinary or is named Lance, run away and find one of us.  I promise you we will keep you safe even if there was nothing wrong.  Always be safe than sorry."

Jade nodded, wiping away her tears.  "Can I sleep with you?"

I nod, kneeling down so she could climb my back.  "Hold on tight and as your steed, I'll take to to a better bed than Lance's old room."

She giggled.  As we reached my room, I let her get comfortable under the sheets, looking at me with sad eyes.

"No one's going to hurt us, right?"

I nod.  "There may be bad people, but we won't get hurt.  I promise."

She smiled, turning away to sleep.

I stay on the floor, leaning on the bed and closing my eyes until morning training.
