Jessie quickly brushed her dress flat, breathing lightly as she neared the Fortrex.  She was late for her and Axl's date night!  Her teacher made her stay late and explain why she needed the young girl to be more open.

Before she knocked, she leaned back on the wall, holding her head.  Why did she stay?  She straightened up, knocking on the large door.

Axl was standing there as it opened, smiling at her.  "Jessie, you made it!  I didn't think you were showing up."

Jessie smiled shyly, looking down.  "My teacher made me stay back.  Sorry.  But let's not let that ruin the rest of the night!"

Axl grabbed her hand, leading her inside to the downtime room.  In there, there was a beautiful arrangement of desserts.  Brownies, cookies, a cake, pie ice cream, and water and pop.

Jessie grabbed a pop, sitting on the couch as Axl sat beside her, playing a movie.  As they watched it, Axl wrapped an arm over her shoulders, making Jessie's shoulders, making her blush.

As the movie came to an end, Jessie sat up, looking at her boyfriend.  "Do you think I'd be as good as Squires?  She came in to talk to my class a couple of days ago and she said none of us would ever surpass her announcing skills."

Axl grumbled something before looking at Jessie sincerely.  "I'd think you'd be way better than that bot.  Besides, she made a slightly snide comment about Clay when we graduated."

"What did she say?"

"She said that 'no one ever expected this country boy to be the top of his class.'  It might be just us, but we're like a family.  We all thought she was making fun of Clay.  Sure, he's from the country parts of Knighton, but the way she said it made it sound wrong."

Jessie nodded, looking flabbergasted.  "And no one noticed that?  That seems messed up."

Axl nodded.  "Just be who you are when you announce.  Everyone will like you, I promise."

He kissed her, making her blush dark red.  She looked at her watch, sighing.  "I have to get home, Axl.  I have classes tomorrow.  I see you later.  Love you!"

She kissed him, running out of the Fortrex, smiling widely.  He believed in her.
