During the Twitter section of the show we were on the second stage, away from the dancers. I would glance over at Jace occasionally and I would rarely catch her eye, but when I did, she would wave and smile. I hadn't checked up on her in a while, not wanting to seem creepy.
"@Amandaaaaaa wants to know if we can do a cartwheel," Niall said, walking around and drawing out the 'A' in the username.
Harry smiled mischievously and handed his mic to Zayn. He got into a lunge for a starting position and for a moment I actually thought he could do a cartwheel. But the crowd bust up laughing as he placed his hands on the ground and walked his body around to the other side of them before standing up again with a pleased grin.
I was quite awful myself but my feet actually left the ground on mine....even if it was just a couple inches into the air.
"Obviously," I laughed. "We cannot." We found the girl who had sent the tweet in the crowd and waved as she went wild.
The second question was plastered on the glowing screens and Zayn read it aloud.
"@_NOUIS__ says 'what's wrong with Jacelyn?'"
My head snapped protectively toward the main stage where the dancers stayed. Was she ok? Was she hurt? No...she was sleeping.
Katherine and Madison had left like they normally did during their breaks but it seems as if they left her curled into a ball on the side of the stage. She had finally come down from her RedBull crash.
"JACELYN!!"
"JACELYN ROCK!"
"WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BACY!"
"JAAAAAACE!!"
"C'MOM BABE THE SHOW ISN'T OVER YET!!"
We yelled as loud as we could into the microphones, causing some fans nearly the speakers to cover their ears. But Jace had her ear plugs in and was completely oblivious to the outside world. Eventually, Preston walked out on stage and shook her awake. She was groggy and wrapped her arms around his neck, clinging to him as he tried to stand up.
"Have a nice nap?" I joked.
"This is what you get for drinking my RedBull!"
She rubbed her eyes as Preston picked her up and pulled off one of her dance shoes. Using her hand for help, she stood up her middle toe directly at us. We burst into laughter, being the only ones who knew what it meant. Preston picked up her shoe and carried her off stage, her still giving us her made up obscenity with a knowing smile.
She finished the show, but was nearly falling asleep in her turns so by the time we got backstage, Jace decided to forfeit the after party.
"I'm just gonna crash," she said, emerging from the dressing room in an oversized black tee shirt with the police badge on the back. It fell to mid thigh and she wore her purple special pointe shoe booties that I was sure were just Uggs wrapped in polyester. Carrying her many costume bags and makeups kits, she walked down the hall, yawning.
"Do you want help?" I asked. She shook her head no.
"She's fine Liam." Madison's cold voice startled me. She sounded so mean and glared after Jacelyn.
"Are you sure you don't want to go?" Louis followed her closely with a brotherly worry in his voice. "I can stay after with you if you want."
She snorted. "Louis Tomlinson you are the biggest party animal I know you would rather die than stay back with me."
"Not true-"
"True. Go Lou. I'll be fine. I'm just going to sleep!" She giggled.
By then we were outside with a car waiting to take us to the party and Jace stood right outside of the buses. "Well..." Zayn stuttered. He didn't like leaving her. None of us did. We had all of the security with us so if someone found her she was dead meat. "Call us if you need anything!"
