"So what happened again?"

"We slept together and she might be pregnant."

Harry's curls were ruffled from sleep and he ran his hand through them over and over. It was noon now and all five of us boys were gathered in the bathroom talking in hushed whispers to make sure Jace didn't wake up and hear us.

"And she won't take a Plan B?" Zayn had looked half asleep when he arrived but now that he knew what had happened he was wide awake.

"Nope."

"What are we going to do?" Niall cried quietly. "What is she going to do? Liam this is big-"

"I know! I'm so so sorry I don't know what I was thinking and she was so drunk and... I just don't know."

Harry's face scrunched up. "Liam if Madison finds out..."

The ruffle of covers made us go silent. Then the pitter patter of feet and Jace knocked on the slightly ajar door.

"What are you guys doing in here?" She moaned, squinting her eyes from the light and resting a hand on her head.

"Talking about the show last night." I cut everyone off before they could answer something wrong. "We were discussing things we could do better and didn't want to wake you." She was upset enough already, three more people finding out would blow her top. But I couldn't deal with this without them.

"Boys!" Paul rammed in through the door. "Lets go! We've got to get to the venue for the last show in New York! Why are you all crowded in the bathroom?"

"The show!" Jace groaned. "This is going to be awful!"

"Talking." Louis answered Paul. "Jace was hungover and asleep and we didn't want to wake her."

"Dear Lord she's hungover?"

She nodded sadly.

"Well get some bread and water in her and put her on stage. Sorry sweetheart," he shrugged at Jace. "This is going to be one hell of a show for you."

When Paul left Jace frowned. "Everything is stupid," she sang, wandering over to the kitchen and filling her favorite metal water bottle to the brim. "Do you guys want some toast? I'll make you some toast."

She seemed out of it, drumming her fingers on the counter and chewing her bottom lip.

"Hey, you ok?" I placed my hand on her shoulder and she jumped.

"Yeah. I'm fine why?"

"Well first of all, you just put two slices of bread in the drawer instead of the toaster..."

Jace pulled the bread out and put in in the toaster this time with a red face.

"What's going on Jacelyn? Is it because of last night?"

She glanced over my shoulder nervously at the other boys. I turned and motioned for them to shoo. Louis ushered the rest out and shut the door on his way out. Then there was complete silence.

"Jace?"

"...Liam what happened last night? Tell me everything. Tell me exactly what happened."

I intook air sharply and took a step back. "Jacelyn I-I can't do that..."

"Liam!"

"I'm sorry! I can't.."

"Why not?" She stomped her foot and balled fists at her side, looking much like a child herself. I glanced at her stomach at that thought.

"You'll hate me for not stopping you, not making you go to sleep in your own room. And the less you know the better. I'm protecting you."

"Protecting me from what?" She spat. "I have a right to know what happened."

"From Madison! If she found out she'd kill you. You know what happened last time."

"So what? So I'm supposed to just cower and hide from her this whole time? I don't like you keeping secrets from me Liam! Tell me what happened."

My own voice had raised as well to match hers. Why couldn't she see I just wanted to keep her by my side and safe. "Well maybe if you hadn't been so hammered you would remember and not need me to tell you!"

If looks could kill I'd be six feet under right now. The air in the room was filled with enough tension that I could almost see it.

"Jace I.. I didn't mean-"

She wouldn't have it. The front door to the hotel room shut with a slam and I was left in the kitchen to hang my head and sigh.

*

My brain became alert when I ambled into the dressing room that night and saw Jacelyn sitting on the chair next to Niall in one of Zayn's sweatshirts. They were talking as he got his hair done and it seemed rather serious. Niall saw me approach in the mirror and stopped their conversation.

"I'll be right back babe." Niall whispered to her. He patted me on the shoulder on his way to the other side of the room where the other boys had gathered like at a screening of a drama.

"Jace about earlier.."

"You know I really don't want to talk to you right now."

"I know you don't-"

"Good. Then you shouldn't waste your time trying. Zayn I'm taking your sweatshirt!" She was out the door before he could respond. I rubbed my hands over my face and trying to not have a breakdown right here right now. I wanted her. I just wanted to keep her close to me and instead I drove her away.

"Just give her time mate," Louis said quietly, pulling me into a hug.

"I'm an idiot."

"We knew that when we met you," he said in the same sweet tone. It pulled a small smile to me lips.

"Not helping Lou."

"But hey it got you to smile huh?" His grin grew as I chuckled.

"Jace farted!" Katherine yelled from their dressing room, the next one over.

"Did not! That was Niall!"

"Niall isn't even in this room stupid!" Madison shouted.

"The smell probably traveled!"

"We all know it was you Jacelyn Rae!" Niall called out the doorway and used her middle name for a more authoritative sound.

"Don't call me Jacelyn Rae! You sound like my brothers when I'm in trouble!"

We chuckled in our room and I wanted her back more than ever. Louis noticed my expression. "I'll go talk to her mate ok? I'll fix everything with my magic skills."

"Louis," Paul said. "Eleanor's here."

Louis's body tensed and his face hardened. "I can't see her now. I have to talk to Jace."

I stepped one foot towards him and reached out y hand to get his attention. "She's with us the whole tour. You can see El now and talk later-"

"No!" He snapped, causing all attention in the room to turn to him. "I said I'd talk to her and I'm going to talk to her! Then were going to perform, and get on the bus, and drive to the next venue."

Without even a hint of explanation for his outburst, Louis was gone.

"What the hell was that?" Harry asked as Lou styled his hair in front of a mirror.

I shook my head. "Whats going on with them? He's ignoring her calls, not talking about her at all, and he won't see her when she came all the way here?"

"You don't think..." Zayn's chewed his bottom lip. "Are they going through a break up?"

"Maybe they just got into a fight?" Niall shrugged.

"If it's a fight then it's a really bad one because I've never seen him like this."

"Are you all gossiping about me again?" Louis walked back in soon after without a hint of his previous attitude. "By the way Liam, you're welcome."

I furrowed my brows. "Wha-"

Jace came barreling into the dressing room and attacked me with a hug, burying her face into my chest. "I'm sorry," she whispered so only I could hear her. I stood there, shocked, for a moment, and then wrapped my arms around her loosely, giving Louis a confused glance and mouthing 'thank you' at the same time. He smiled back with a cheerful mask not quite covering the twinge of envy and sadness in his eyes.

"Ten minutes till show," a backstage manager knocked on the door and poked his head in, disappearing as we all said 'ok' and 'thank you'. Paul stood by the door, and Louis against it's frame.

"Louis," he said. "You've got to go see Eleanor."

Jace detached herself from me, moving instead to the mirror that was behind us and swiping her hair up into a ponytail, positioning the hairpiece just right. I turned around to watch her, but we were both using the mirror to spy on the scene behind us.

"Paul we already talked about this.."

"No. We didn't. You threw a tantrum and stormed off. She came all the way here for you." They spoke quietly and everyone else pretended to be busy with something; wardrobe, hair, makeup, twitter. But everyone was listening in.

"I've got to get ready."

"Five minutes," he pleaded. "Just go see her for five minutes."

Louis but his lip and looked down. "Three," he mumbled, and left.

When he was gone, I turned to Jace. She widened her eyes and grimaced. "Whoa."

"Ok so it's worse than we thought," Niall bared his teeth uncomfortably.

"I'm assuming we're all talking about Louis," Madison bounced onto the couch when she strolled in in front of Katherine. "We just passed him in the hall and he looked pissed...and a little scared."

"Drama," Jace sighed. She pulled off Zayn's sweatshirt, carful to not mess up her hair, and chucked it at him. "I hate it."

The three dancers stood side by side, shortest to tallest, in the mirror and critiqued and complimented their matching costumes, hair, and makeup.

"You wear it better," Katherine nudged Jace behind Maddi. "My torso's to long."

"I have to wear white tights over the tan tights in order for them to sort of match my skin color and look natural on stage."

I laughed. She did have abnormally beautiful and pale skin.

There was another knock on the door and a backstage manager poked his head in again. "Five minutes guys. Lets get you all backstage."

I looked around the room, doing a headcount. "I'll grab Louis." Everyone nodded, and without having to say anything, I knew they were asking me to tell them what I heard between Louis and Eleanor.

Their voices were hushed but evident as I padded quietly down the hall. I knew eavesdropping was wrong, especially on one of my best friends, but if he wouldn't talk about it my curiosity had to be tamed some way.

"We've talked about it El.. Can't this wait?" he said, exasperated.

"Louis I need to know what's going on here." It was absolutely silent for just a moment. "Don't just walk away."

He sighed. And in a voice I've never heard before, begged. "Please don't make me go on stage upset.." He was so vulnerable and emotionally stripped that my own heart hurt for him.

"Lou," I knocked on the wall as I came around the corner, making it seem like I hadn't just heard their conversation. "They want us backstage."

"Ok." Eleanor's eyes shined with tears, but they didn't leak.

"Hey El, staying for the show?"

She smiled with a closed mouth politely, but it wasn't genuine. "Ah, no. I better get going. It was nice to see you Liam." She bit her lip and turned around before we could see tears streak her cheeks. When Louis turned to me he had his own paths of water dribbling down his face.

"Is everything ok Louis?" I asked as he wiped away the tears and took a deep breath. "You can talk to me. Or anyone of the lads. Even the dancers. You can trust us."

"I'm fine," he replied flatly. And then he plastered a smile on his face, looked me in the eye, and said, "Lets go do a show."

{draaaaama!! Ok I always dread this question because drama always happens but I kinda want to know so, pro Larry or pro Elounor? Personally I'm an Elounor shipper but honestly I just want what makes Louis happy so if Larry makes him happy then goddamn it I'll support Larry!
