By the time we got to NYC it was dark. Heavy with jet lag and the fact that it was 10pm, nobody really paid attention to the bright neon lights and abundance of both fans and cars that flashed past outside of the car windows. The SUV we were in had bulletproof tinted windows and three rows of seats. Normally, we would have a driver, but Katherine insisted she knew where we were going, backing herself up with the fact that she lived in New York. So Katherine took the wheel with Jace in the passenger seat half asleep, and Madison sandwiched in between Zayn and I in the first row of seats. Niall was passed out cold in the very back and Louis kept laughing as he shoved him off of his shoulder several times only to have him fall right back into place.

"Move you son of a bitch!" Katherine laid on the horn and Niall jerked awake, knocking Harry good in the jaw by accident.

"Bloody hell mate!" He groaned, holding the right side of his face.

"Sorry! Katherine oh my God what's with you and the horn?" He shouted as she pounded the living daylights out of it. Finally, the car in front weaved to the side so she could crowd her way through the rest.

"Don't doubt my New York driving skills," she smirked.

"I didn't know you needed a special set of skills just to drive in New York," Jace said.

"Well look who just got us to the hotel in under an hour. You're very welcome ungrateful boy band."

"Hey don't forget about the dancer," Louis called. Several security guards formed a well closed half circle on the side of the car as we began to climb out. Katherine crawled over the center console to exit after Jace and Louis, Niall, and Harry struggled to climb over our seats to get out as well.

"Next time lets take a van again," Niall said once he made it out. "Lot easier to exit."

"Hey there stranger!" Jace smiled and hugged Preston as he, among others, got us inside safely.

"Hello Jacelyn," he pretended to be annoyed with her but eventually couldn't keep up the act and smiled warmly at her.

"Where's the bus? My pajamas are in there."

"You're kidding right?" I said once inside the calm, clear lobby. "You were supposed to put them in your carry on so we wouldn't have to go out there until tomorrow morning!"

"Sorry," she giggled.

Preston sighed. "Ok," he put on the fake at smile I've ever seen and made both of us laugh. "Stay here. I'll go her your pajamas."

"Get the red ones! The ones that look like candy canes!"

When he left she started laughing again. "I always got in trouble in school for stuff like this."

"Really?" I joked. "But you seem so focused and organized?"

Playfully punching my shoulder she frowned. "I am." A light giggle escaped her lips.

"Really? Where's your clothes for tomorrow morning?"

"....Damn it!"

Her pajamas, which Preston came back carrying and loaded us onto an elevator with, really did look like candy canes. They were red and white striped pants with a matching button up long sleeve top.

"Guys!" She yelled loudly when everyone got off on our reserved floor with all of our suites. "Party in my room tonight! Wear pajamas and be ready to eat, watch movies, and play games!"

"Eyyy! Party time!" Zayn bounced through the door a little after 11:30.

"Zayn!" The girls yelled in unison. They stood in the kitchenette of the suite preparing popcorn and pulling mini hot dogs wrapped in bits of croissant with cheese out of the oven.

"I brought Louis!" Louis cheered in the background. They were still hidden by a wall but I could hear their chatter and could see Jace tilt her head toward the bar between the kitchen and living room.

"Grab a milkshake!" She pulled out another tray from the oven. "We've got pigs in a blanket and popcorn if you're hungry. And Gobstoppers and Gatorade."

That girl lives on Gatorade and Gobstoppers.

"I feel like this is an after party to a school dance or something," Harry laughed as the girls came into the living room. Us boys were piled on the two couches and watched with greedy eyes as Madison and Jace carried in and distributed bowls of popcorn and Katherine followed with a tray of pigs in a blanket. On the dark wood coffee table in front of us were paper plates, napkins, cups, the boys's milkshakes, the plates of food, and a stack of movies.

"I've never been to a school dance before," Madison said. It was quite a contrast to see her in her blue plaid fluffy pants and white tank top with no makeup and her coco colored hair tired into a messy top knot. I was used to her hair perfectly curled and her face covered with makeup.

"Seriously?" Niall asked. She nodded sadly and propped her legs in the butterfly position on a cream colored chair.

"I wasn't allowed. I was that girl who had dance every day after school. I was in support classes because I didn't have time to finish my homework at the studio and couldn't come to basketball games or anything that was after school. On the weekends I either had a competition or practice and Friday nights I spent practicing or going to bed early for dance the next morning."

"Ok so we'll take you clubbing and call it a high school dance," Jace smiled and popped a Pig in a Blanket into her mouth.

"Do this one," Katherine chucked the Little Mermaid DVD at Jacelyn, who was sitting on the floor in front of the tv.

"Duuuude! This is my favorite!" She put the movie in and then wedged herself in between Niall and I with her fleece blanket that matched the color of the streaks in her hair.

{yeah I like the Little Mermaid a lot. I'm also pretty into firefighters right now. They're hot. Get it? Cuz fires are hot and they fight...fires? Oh and for my friend who was playing 20 questions with me about who she marries... the first letter of his first name is J😏 you'll find out in part 27!!

xx.
